The bottom Goblin Mountaineer is my personal favorite.

I cast Psychatog in EDH once and someone goes “Really? That card sucks in (whatever year).” I then proceeded to put myself to like 6 with Yawgmoth to kill their board and dump everything into the tog and the other 2 players thought it was too funny to remove it. So hubris killed. Top 5 edh moment.

Do I move out of disappointed dad tier if the Psychatog proceeds to single-handedly eliminate the opponent who looked down on it the most because I have a better understanding of how activated abilities work than they do?

Some of my favorites from the weekend

Tasigur, the Golden Fang • (Sultai Commander deck) • Archidekt Tasigur, the Golden Fang - Commander deck (1) Commander • (2) Artifact • (34) Creature • (7) Enchantment • (7) Instant • (37) Land • (12) Sorcery

Commander of one of my two decks that I almost always have on me, so I had to get the fancy signature. It’s all retro foil. Completed it at the convention (City of Brass and Entomb). Everything’s real, about 30 are signed. archidekt.com/decks/531040...

Gave Olivia some gifts for the two of them. If Olivia mentions a certain deck/collection someone made her that’s a tribute to one of the best comedies of the early 00’s it’s from me.

Got the stuff later that night. He was in line another 3 hours. SIX AND A HALF HOURS! Ridiculous. But I got my 5 cards signed. Gonna try and send that guy a thank you gift in the mail because he’s a legend. Got through Guay’s on Friday in under 75 minutes. Shocked she wasn’t the longest. 2/2

I tried all Friday and part of Saturday. Finally got in about 1 on Saturday. Waited for 3.5 hours. Had to leave to go to the Brian & Olivia event. Talked to the guy behind me and he offered to get my stuff signed. Gave him my $, #, and cards and prayed he was honest. 1/2

Agreed. The artist alley was insane. I got over 70 cards signed over the course of the convention. I bought 4 to get signed while I was there and brought 75 to get signed. I didn’t get everything signed but I got most of them.

I was a lot more nervous around content creators I’d never met before than someone like you who I had met once. I feel like even though most interactions with creators were 2 minutes tops it was easier when I had a reference point of who someone is in person. I hope you enjoy Carmen, she’s awesome.

40-42 in a normal deck. Run a few cycling lands or abilities to use lands that could get stuck in hand for other purposes: Psychic Frog, Scroll Rack, Fire Prophecy, etc.

Ugh, same…

Same, I took maybe 4 seconds to get there.

Because this being good with quicksilver elemental and Vivi is the best kind of funny to me.

It’s no different than reprinting a card people have been complaining about the price of. There’s people this caters to and people it does not. They nailed the assignment for those of us that wanted the SpongeBob cards when they got announced.

These are in my top four along with the force of despair and Counterspell.

What sucks is people will twist themself in a pretzel trying to defend the trade war which hurts a lot of people, but they can’t be bothered to even tolerate people and ideas that usually do not actually affect their life other than perhaps emotionally (and that’s pushing it sometimes).

Cleaning up piles of hexagons

This card has been criminally slept on. I have it in my cube and feel it should be in several edh decks too.

This was a nice thread to read. I’m glad he was such a genuine person. It’s good to hear that with everything in the world these days. RIP Gene.

This needs to be in an episode of decked out. Maybe a Halloween episode where you each make a deck based on someone else in the pod’s worst fear. I imagine a never ending gimmick would likely be Nerd Girl’s worst fear.

That is a beautiful rendition of my favorite Arisen Necropolis.

Who played which commander?

Your favorite sitcom is just as good to rewatch as it always is. Also, in the next 18 months or so we’re revisiting Tarkir AND Lorwyn.

This doesn’t seem to be a list that they cannot update or alter. I think it’s to indicate problematic elements the cards possess in addition to uniquely powerful individual cards. 2/2

I don’t disagree, however like the ban list or certain counters people think should be on this list but aren’t it’s seemingly intended as a guideline and not a hard rule. Putting every problematic card is too much to remember. Heck, this and the ban list may be too much for some to remember. 1/2

Seedborn Muse after one additional untap step usually alerts new players to its impact. Trouble in Pairs is more subtle to inexperienced players who aren’t noticing the value that player is accruing due to ignoring the cards parameters because of cognitive load. It’s considerable card advantage.

I think the reason all 3 are on there is they are powerful in a manner which is not immediately apparent to new players. Many other powerful commanders exist but new players don’t realize how oppressive Augie is or how unfair commander ninjutsu is. Winnie there’s more to say than this format allows.
