You are brave. Don’t think I could.
Sure do. What story though? Grandmother came from Aquila when she was three. But my mother was born and I was born. And apparently nobody wants to hear how my grandmother’s name on her birth certificate is different than what they wrote down at Ellis Island but hey, what do I know?
Back in the day. When I worked full-time and travelled a lot, when I found myself in a hotel, I would write a hotel haiku.
Virginia beach room
I see no water or sand
Just tables, chairs, walls
East coast U S A
Hotel room hides the ocean
Better to learn lots

Jeremy Hansen describes the experience of being in space: "We were all kind of struck by these things that make us feel small, in that, the sense I had was the sense of fragility and feeling small, infinitesimally small. But yet, this very powerful feeling as a human being, like as a group."

I was wondering why there were odd sounds coming from my computer speakers.
Then I remembered I have an owl nest cam on in a different window. The wee beasties are growing quickly

Terry Fox stands on a rocky shoreline beside a body of water, wearing a light blue athletic shirt with darker sleeves, short running shorts, white socks, and running shoes. His right leg is a prosthetic. Doug Alward stands next to him in a tan jacket and dark pants, hands in his pockets. A rope or cable runs along the edge of the shore in front of them. The water extends into the background with a distant shoreline and buildings visible across it.
On April 12, 1980, Terry Fox, accompanied by his friend Doug Alward, dipped his right leg into the Atlantic Ocean at St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador.
It began the Marathon of Hope and turned Fox into a Canadian hero and icon.
This is the story.

Preaching to the choir.
We drove by a few of these camps last week, which are more prevalent now that Bradner got shut down. I keep looking and hoping to see the trailer, but my husband tells me to stop because my son does not want it back. And the police tell him he doesn’t want it back. Thankful for insurance.
Trash away but if you find that 30’ fifth wheel I don’t know that my son wants it back. We would, however, like to know how it was stolen from a managed RV park with all of its hook ups in the space of a couple of hours, but that’s a story for another day.
I can’t help but wonder if any of the abandoned trailers are stolen. Hmm maybe my sons stolen RV is there 🤔

If you're coming to Vancouver for FIFA this summer (welcome!) - 1000's of hotel rooms have been released by the organization, but parking's likely going to come at a premium.

Good Morning! Happy Tuesday.
CBC's The Early Edition is on the air.
All kinds of stuff this morning: Van Park Board wants a budget of $1.3 B -
mostly to fix the city's crappy facilities, the province changing it's EV mandate when gas is $2.17, and ferry mayhem...

And here’s the eclipse photo from Artemis II. I am in tears.
