Renting is a really important part of the housing issue. Not every wants to contend with condo fees...or cutting grass. Not to mention qualifying for a mortgage and having a substantial down payment.
Hi everyone. I wrote this on Sunday but it still holds true today after yet another Oilers win. There more to this NHL run that winning the Stanley Cup.

Please vote today if you haven't already done so. Campaigns are standing by willing to get to the polls, or tell you where to vote. Big thanks to the thousands of volunteers across the country, and of course the candidates who step up for democracy. Happy e day all.
This is a spot-on message to be hammering in Alberta (especially since nobody else really is, to much extent). Eleanor isn't just fighting for Edmonton Centre, she's standing up for everyone here in Alberta. Vote Liberal in Edmonton Centre.
The United States and Britain have an obligation to defend Ukraine, not provide them with a box of non-stick bandaids.
The choice is clear: Canadian sovereignty or a MAGA franchise.
Poilievre wants to gut the CBC and sell out our public institutions.
Vote to protect Canadian voices.
Vote to save the CBC.

Glad to see a Liberal candidate in Alberta taking on this issue.
I wanted to "float" an idea for leaders to ponder during this election campaign. Looking for something really really big? How about an idea to really dive into open.substack.com/pub/kimtryna...
As I've said many times before ...The CBC needs to constantly adapt and change to serve Canadians, especially in the regions. But it's our public broadcaster, and it needs to stay Canadian. (plus they provide a ton of content)
Some things never change.
Happy National Flag Day Canada!
I agree with the new CBC president, that Canadians need to have a national conversation about the role of our public broadcaster. That idea - is just Common Sense.
Attempts to administer this agency is a complete joke. The only time it had stability was during the NDP administration. Aside from that it's been a mess of come-and-go CEOs and mandates. What a shame. It needs to focus on healthcare delivery, and guiding its thousands of workers in Alberta.
The #CBC needs changes, but I think it has been making a good attempt to finally get back into communities to connect with the public. It's so critically important in this age of disinformation, bots, and very loud U.S. based news. I prefer my news to come from a Canadian perspective, and Canadians.
We have a long-standing unspoken, unwritten practice in our neighbourhood to do with snow shoveling. The 1st one out clears the walks for those next door, and across the street and vice versa. It evens out over time. If only international trade was so civil.Written while watching it snow for 24 hrs.
1/5 If Trump wanted Russia to negotiate, he would make the war harder for the Kremlin, not create the conditions for Russian victory. I wish reporters would point this out.

His comment(s) are designed to humiliate the PM of Canada and the entire country. It’s cringe worthy, and not the casual musings of a “friend”. Canada has an abundance of natural resources, including water, that I’m sure he wants to get his hands on.It’s not joke.
I appreciate the temporary GST tax break, however I think the greater problem is the persistent high cost of produce. Some items have come down, but not everything.I get it -fruits and veg are imported & our dollar is low. But I feel consumers are still being gouged by big Grocers.Ouch.
9 out of 10 for me. Buenos Aires is next.
This is an important story to absorb.
Very cheesy indeed
