I got asked how I made the testing rig for my recent experiments with Apple’s on-device LLM.

Instead of explaining, I made an app you can download for macOS Tahoe that lets you test your own prompts.

A week-ish ago I wrote about my experiments with an on-device LLM Apple released for use by apps on the latest beta OSes. A local LLM might be useful in places where you would never use a hosted LLM like ChatGPT, so I wanted to see what’s possible to do with it. natbuckley.co.uk/2025/06/20/d...

I made some changes to readability and contrast based on your feedback. If there’s anything else you picked up on I would love to know!

I asked for a reply on what actions my MP is taking to uphold the manifesto commitment to ā€œremove indignities for trans people who deserve recognition and acceptanceā€.

I sent a paper letter to my Lab MP about my experiences of being harassed in toilets for using ā€œthe wrong oneā€ by (presumably cis) women—something which began 10+ yrs ago when I started presenting more androgynously. I argued that the ruling will embolden the bigots, in addition to being unworkable.

Thank you for this.

That’s good to hear. And thank you for engaging with your MP on this. I hope that hearing pushback from real people makes a difference.

A letter to my MP about trans rights After seeing the way that politicians and organisations have overreacted to the recent Supreme Court judgment and interpreted it the most anti-trans light possible, I decided to send a letter (a real ...

Very moved by Paul’s clear, evidenced and well articulated letter to his MP about trans rights. I’m especially grateful because the issue is too emotional for me to bring this degree of thoughtfulness to the table po-ru.com/2025/04/26/a...

Saved for future reference for project. Love the way you showed the value of each idea through images and animations. Stellar stuff.

Fantastic work. So many great design ideas for transforming relationships through design and technology.

Absolutely brilliant.

This is absolutely fantastic. Such a simple idea, but it’s mind blowing to me that the current crop of presentation software is not capable of presenting interactive prototypes anywhere near this well

I do my best thinking on paper, or playing with the material directly. When I work on my own stuff I skip the Figma mockups step entirely

Yes, probably, depending on context! In the book most charts show the average by default, so you can also quickly gauge how far off the value is

I like this idea! Do you know any examples of it out there?

I’m surprised this visual approach isn’t more common. I’ve been in so many meetings trying to figure out if a suspicious data point is a call to action or meaningless noise where this kind of thing could have saved so much time.

So what’s stopping this from becoming a really popular idea?
