there was a joy to logging on. What a time!
An animation showing a macOS app generating multiple responses to a single prompt.
I got asked how I made the testing rig for my recent experiments with Appleās on-device LLM.
Instead of explaining, I made an app you can download for macOS Tahoe that lets you test your own prompts.

A screenshot showing how website contents were turned by a local LLM into a list of topics.
A week-ish ago I wrote about my experiments with an on-device LLM Apple released for use by apps on the latest beta OSes. A local LLM might be useful in places where you would never use a hosted LLM like ChatGPT, so I wanted to see whatās possible to do with it. natbuckley.co.uk/2025/06/20/d...
Lovely work!
Glad you think so! Appreciate it
I made some changes to readability and contrast based on your feedback. If thereās anything else you picked up on I would love to know!
Hello š Iād love to make it better if I can, so any pointers appreciated
I asked for a reply on what actions my MP is taking to uphold the manifesto commitment to āremove indignities for trans people who deserve recognition and acceptanceā.
I sent a paper letter to my Lab MP about my experiences of being harassed in toilets for using āthe wrong oneā by (presumably cis) womenāsomething which began 10+ yrs ago when I started presenting more androgynously. I argued that the ruling will embolden the bigots, in addition to being unworkable.
Thank you for this.
Thatās good to hear. And thank you for engaging with your MP on this. I hope that hearing pushback from real people makes a difference.
Very moved by Paulās clear, evidenced and well articulated letter to his MP about trans rights. Iām especially grateful because the issue is too emotional for me to bring this degree of thoughtfulness to the table po-ru.com/2025/04/26/a...
Happy Ed Balls day to those who celebrate. Hereās something I made 12 years ago to commemorate the occasion ntlk.github.io/edballsipsum/
Saved for future reference for project. Love the way you showed the value of each idea through images and animations. Stellar stuff.
Fantastic work. So many great design ideas for transforming relationships through design and technology.
Absolutely brilliant.
This is absolutely fantastic. Such a simple idea, but itās mind blowing to me that the current crop of presentation software is not capable of presenting interactive prototypes anywhere near this well
I do my best thinking on paper, or playing with the material directly. When I work on my own stuff I skip the Figma mockups step entirely

Thank you! I tried the fix. Hopefully it will work.
A meta question: any idea why this post isnāt showing a nice preview? Or is it just me? Other YouTube links on bsky get nice thumbs etc bsky.app/profile/natb...
this is super interesting! thank you for sharing
Yes, probably, depending on context! In the book most charts show the average by default, so you can also quickly gauge how far off the value is
that would be so amazing, thank you!
I like this idea! Do you know any examples of it out there?
Iām surprised this visual approach isnāt more common. Iāve been in so many meetings trying to figure out if a suspicious data point is a call to action or meaningless noise where this kind of thing could have saved so much time.
So whatās stopping this from becoming a really popular idea?
