A small, horizontal window in the station wall. Beyond, we see the legs of people standing or walking by. On the ledge of the window is a presumably empty bottle of Canadian Club whiskey.

Well, then. Email from my publisher saying they're closing down at the end of the year. Rights will revert then unless I ask for them sooner. All royalties through next March will be paid.

No idea what to do next. Must ponder.

Sigh. The Annie Lennox and Wendy & Lisa album news was announced in 2024 for a release in 2025, and I can't find any mention of it since then. Which is too bad. As it would have been fantastic.

Todd is a good follow

Todd is a good follow

It’s a good question, let’s clear the air:

1) Disco is awesome, like 25 all-time classic tracks in a 4 year span,

2) Disco was hated because it was queer, brown, and black,

3) Disco was hated because it paired women and men in a different power dynamic.

4) “Disco Sucks” was a “ MAGA” test run.

Me: "Traits and mannerisms don't define one's sexuality."

Also me (when I see a straight, married man on TV who vibes gay) "OH, JUST COME OUT ALREADY!"

Two identical pictures of Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney. The first has text: "Shares feel good zoom call with Canadian astronaut as public relations exercise." The second has different text: "Cut's funding for Canadian Space Agency by 32.6%"

A lot of Canucks feel pride at a Canadian astronaut on a moon mission. The Carney government is milking this opportunity to associate itself with those good feelings while cutting nearly a third of all funding for Canada's space agency.

I ask this knowing full well it's a generational thing and I'm old. But how do people not know their postal code?!?
Y'all know your street and building number right??

That is all. Just gonna go sit in the corner and decay, now

Not liking a certain aspect is one thing. But the people who bug me the most are the ones that hate everything about the show, but watch every episode, then post hour long diatribes or long winded rants about how much they hate everything about it. And claim to be "real" fans

"The Pitt" vs. its fandom Why is the show's vocal fandom putting "The Pitt's" characters on trial to be deemed “good” or “bad"?

As lovers of Star Trek and Doctor Who can attest, no one hates a show more that it's "fans"

Outside the entrance to TMU Station. A heavy, round, concrete pillar runs top left to bottom left. To the right, two bearded food couriers look down at their phones, partially in shade. At right of the image, a man in bright sunlight walks toward the right edge of the frame.

A ship with razzle dazzle camouflage. Angular black and white stripes

Today I learned about razzle dazzle camouflage. It was designed to make it difficult to estimate a target's range, speed, and heading.

To be clear, I do believe that TOS was revolutionary in many ways. One can't discount the effect that Uhura, Sulu, M'Benga, etc had on people in the audience watching and seeing themselves represented. But racists were able to see what they wanted. From DS9 on, diversity kept growing into Nu Trek

Through the open doors of a subway car at the station, we see a woman, casually leaning against a pillar. Behind her, a section of tile has been removed, revealing bare, rust stained metal. Signage on the wall announces that it is St. George Station on line 2.

Talking about this with a friend tonight. This is who Superman is. This is why I love superheroes so much. The bits I had seen were only part of the story. I love this so very much. Written and drawn by Daniel Warren Johnson

I need more men to understand that two men crying and hugging in space after one of them announced they were naming a moon crater after the other one's late wife is actually what peak masculinity looks like.

I'm going back and culling photos. Made a folder for ones worth a second look, the ones that pop when I look at them. The rest: deleted. It's very liberating
