Earlier this month we were at Coleg Gwent celebrating the achievement of cohorts 2, 3 and 4 at the 'Celebrate Your Next Steps' events with local employers. Thanks to Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, who provided work experience for the cadets. Well done to our cadets. We are so proud of you.

Today we hosted students from Mulberry Academy Trust at our HQ in London. During their time with us they learnt IPC via correct handwashing, BLS, received a library tour, gave us their thoughts on what a nurse does and had a chance to question RCN staff on all things nursing.
We are planning a cohort in partnership with Powys Teaching Health Board that will take place in July/August. This opportunity is available to all 16-25 year olds living in Powys. The delivery will take place online over 5 days, with optional work experience in person. Email nursingcadets@rcn.org.uk

Head of the RCN King's Nursing Cadets, Michelle Moseley, today had the opportunity to speak to year 1 and year 2 pupils at Penllwyn Primary School about nursing. Michelle spoke about the role of nurses. The children all enjoyed trying to hear their heartbeats.
