Finally finished Dawntrail last night and uh, wow! That was not very good!! Oh well!
It’s honestly a VERY sleepy game but try and see that as a feature, not a bug. I think the combo of writing style and surreal visuals are totally killer, and the way it explores themes of regret, debt, purpose, and community are really powerful to me. I just love Southern Gothic shit
Neil Drukmann has admittedly complicated my feeling on it, but the game was made by more people than him so for NOW it’s on thin ice
