The commute to the barn has become a chore and I’m not sure what to do about it

Bandit got cleared by the vet 🎉🎉🎉

Bandit has his recheck Monday. It’s been a very very long 6 months and we’re both ready for something different so fingers crossed all goes well 🤞🏻 (he feels amazing btw so I imagine he’ll be given the green light to return to full work)

Coming from someone that lives in a lower cost of living area- exam fee seems high, vaccines are pretty close to what my vet charges. Coggins test also seems expensive (if your vet doesn’t have an in house lab that could be why).

Had a jump lesson on my friend’s haffie last night and had a blast! He was jumping out of his damn skin 😍

Currently sitting in my car trying to get the motivation to get out and do my horse’s rehab ride. I’ve been up since 5, worked late and have to be up at 4:30 tomorrow. Want to go home but he’s had too many days off due to cold/weather 🙃

Bandit is VERY excited to be back doing poles and cavalletti. Ears pricked the whole time and he was truckin along 😂🥰

My friend made me the most beautiful bouquet of flowers for my birthday. I’ve only ever bought myself flowers, have never received them before 🥹

Horse prints are apparently all the rage right now?? Does this mean it’s publicly acceptable to be a weird horse girl??

Considering neither of us have shown in a long time and I had only ridden this horse maybe a handful of times prior to the show, I’m pretty happy overall

Survived the schooling show. My accuracy was horrific considering how long I’ve been doing dressage (judge raked me over the coals for it in her comments 😅) but we made it around, good enough for a very generous 64% in 1-2

I’ve been riding a different horse while Bandit is off and it’s been going well enough that I’ve entered us in a dressage schooling show. She’s a bit tricky to ride though so my expectations are very low but I’m super excited for the opportunity to get to ride down centerline again!
