My great-grandmother’s name was Hermance. She was born in Memramcook in 1900. I always thought that name was somewhat uncommon. Turns out Matt Leblanc had a great aunt named Hermance, born right around the same time, to parents from Memramcook.
My great-grandmother was a third cousin to both his great grandmother and his great grandfather. His grandmother was also a cousin.
Menramcook was a small place in around 1900.
