Such an important doc. Historical reference, no shortage of reverence, and a lot of fun. A West Coast time capsule.

Thank you! Excellent idea.
It’s excellent. Steve is the consummate storyteller who writes as well as he shares. I think you’d love it.
😂 Truth!
Oh, man. Beautiful!
Oh, so Tuck’s just figuring it out now? Admitting to “misleading” people. 😂Gimme’ a fuckin’ break.
Whether the Republican is listening is always the question. 😉
It’s become one of my fave items to gift, as well, @exasperatedman.bsky.social
You’re so right. It really is the best. Hell, that people pay me to row a river and point out where fish are is the best gig ever.
I hear you. Might be time to explore the two-handers. A tad tougher in close and when pitching dimes to the bank, but they sure make the casting work easier.
One would think, that after the 1,000th time being asked this question, that he’d open that Bible for the very first time. Or in Trumpian fashion, just have someone else answer. But he can’t help himself. And he’ll never learn. Such a tool.
All true! 😂
I’m on it.
See previous entry.
Sketches in patience. Or what white collar clients call “bio breaks” (the third in two hours) while fish rise during a short and anxious window around the boat.

Love it. And the lede is perfect. I’m a guy who admittedly does all the stuff you mentioned, but it’s the tippet that gets my goat. Alas, I’ve lost more than one (ahem, many) good fish due to pushing the limits of a not-so-fresh few pennies on the most crucial connection to said swimmer.
Hefty!
Thanks so very much for the reposts, @mrbill420.bsky.social and @mrl53.bsky.social!
Right back atcha’!
Nice work, Doug. Those’ll fish well throughout the Pacific Northwest, as well. I’ll keep a lookout at Rio.
Like bigger houses. Just more rooms to fill with things you don’t need.
I like the use of “gym” as a verb, Aarne. Very much, in fact.
We’ve all been there, my friend. 😂
Looks to be a good set, though. Have fun out there this season!
I hate the idea of doing that project until I’m in the middle of it. Nice work!
I’ll be right there with you, amigo.
It looks just too beautiful to not get out there, Eishi! Enjoy!
Have a great season!
Breakage is a reality. We manage to break three or four a season. Even if you don’t love Orvis for whatever reason (been there), their replacement program for pros is outstanding, and their Clearwater line or rods punches way above their weight. It’s what I keep on the boat for clients.
