When using Bluesky or the Fediverse, there is intention. And humans have put what's in front of your eyes by posting it shortly before you looked.

Meta's platforms manages to push the right posts in your feed to make sure you start scrolling. They're good at manipulation this way.

I don't know the psychology behind it, but when I use Bluesky or the Fediverse, I usually use precisely the amount of time I meant to.

When I want to use Facebook or Instagram for a couple of minutes, I sometimes find myself on it 20 minutes later.

I think "intention" is the keyword here. ⤵️

That's the American way I guess: Hoping someone else will do something and it'll magically go away.
