I think great wisdom is found in having older people govern, it's the natural way of life. You know more things just by being around longer. Having said that, after a certain age (idk, 70 something?) I really wish people would step down and help other Dems get elected.

I really hate the way ppl act these days. To clarify, esp younger people with too much time and too much access to technology. They are doing things that will ruin the lives of others, and eventually, themselves. They may or may not even know the person, but they act irresponsibly and everyone/

The women I know that remarried did so because 1) they thought their children needed a father 2) financial reasons.
Financially independent women/or women with strong support systems, don't rush into marriage. They are usually willing to divorce more quickly as well, children or not.

These men go from their Moms, to marriage and expect to be babied their entire lives. Their wife dies on them and they will remarry so fast to anyone that will have them. Unless men are elderly and almost comatose, they'll be asking every female that looks at them to get married 😂

That falls under "barring an accident." I think the drinking/smoking & being highly irresponsible do contribute to men dying at a younger age overall. I think statistics have changed and brought that age gap smaller. Women die from heart disease at much higher rates than in the past.

The much older women that outlive their husbands is only because they are 10-20 years younger than their husbands.
Maybe that's why Republicans think you should start breeding at 15 so they don't have to wife shop again at age 45.

Everyone I know, including myself, moms/grandmas/sisters died young/younger than their husbands. Barring the hubs dying in an accident/sudden illness, every woman died so much younger than their husbands - and the hubs just go get another wife. It's like being an indentured servant.

I have news for women who buy into the trad wife idea: Your husband will outlive you by at least a decade & remarry. I'm from the generation that housewives were the norm, then women worked & still did everything aka "having it all", and now want to be trad wives?

My screaming would have made everyone walk out, which is what I would have done until everyone stopped fucking working.
