In the same manifesto, Palantir's owners argued that we need a national military draft, that soft power is over, and that we were too hard on Germany and Japan after World War II. I don't think that company should be allowed to exist anymore.

"Pro Fighter X" SNES copier
It's displaying the volume name first, "CHRIS" then overlaying invalid entries into the file list. Also tries to load invisible files...
My disk fix code. Done through a bit of searching and trial-and-error, since these BIOSes don't run on emulators, and no SNES emu emulates floppies anyway...
Pro Fighter X file display fixed up! Also with a new tilde glyph added into the font, as well as a new custom SFC background
The "Pro Fighter X" series of SNES copiers has kinda stupid disk handling code: it doesn't filter out FAT entries on floppy disk that should never be displayed, like the Volume name ("CHRIS"), directories, and long filename chunks. This causes errors during display & loading. So I RE'd and fixed it.
SwancolorHD v2 prototype 1 is ready to go. Now „only“ software is pending 😅
A new batch of nileswan cartridges is going to be made available on April 10th. This one should be larger, so that more people will be able to get their hands on one.

I wonder if it's possible to make the GDSF series understand that. Or filenames in general, outside "SFXXYYYZ", for that matter. 🤔
"Oh, look at these nice patterns! I wonder why I couldn't see them before?"
gonna blast the game boy micro artificial scarcity out of the water
Hey Bob, I recently tried this one for Genlock and 240p/480i with the RT4K:
a.aliexpress.com/_EIVlrzW - it has two inputs and audio extraction, maybe this is something you want to test for your channel? Seems to be available from plenty of sellers, too.
Made a small change to the Neo Geo Diagnostic BIOS to add an option with a white screen for gain calibration and published it here: github.com/herrkuhn/neo... - Here's how I modified my NeoBiosMasta to switch four different BIOS, including this: imgur.com/a/2YZtwCb
#SwancolorHD V2 in the making.
This version will include
- a QSB for easy attachment to the mainboard.
- embedded Bluetooth controller support
- remote power-on/off
Prototypes will be ordered in the coming weeks.

No-Intro does preserve some of this information in their database, I recently built an importer for their dump format : bsky.app/profile/nrq....
That is far up on my list, too. :) Got a Kingwon KW-SC3000A recently, which might be related to Bung Dr PC Jr, which is said to be a Game Master with integrated Famiclone.... CD drive isn't working, but it does load Bung software. youtu.be/yxkKXvVmBCA
I just had to look up the name for a group of whales. A group of whales is called a pod. And I see a whole pod of white whales here.
Wow, congrats on owning such a rare piece of history!
Screenshot of a SQL query of a table of SNES scene releases, filtered by intro.
I really like this one, too.
Screenshot of a table of SNES scene releases, grouped by scene group and ordered by number of releases.
This makes some pretty neat data analysis possible. 😁
THE FUCK
Great, thanks! Found that table at 0xFC00. Also experimented a bit. A ROM with "SUPER MARIOWORLD" in its header always gets the "AUTO PASSWORD" dialog. Super Mario World with an edited title doesn't get that dialog, so I guess it's safe to assume it's header-based.
I also grep'ed through various Pro Fighter BIOS images I have on my HDD and the list of games seems to be identical from Pro Fighter X to FX-64.
You're traversing 0x00 entries and connect them to each game entry that's 16 chars long, is that it? Codes are divided by 0x0A? Anything else?
Seeing the exact same list of games starting at 0xC000 in my Pro Fighter X2 V.G3 dump. Gold Finger Codes start at 0xD5E0 and start by with a leading 0x00? How do you connect game and Gold Finger code?
Interesting! I wonder if there is space for more? Did you find out how a game is being recognized?
Yes, these are quite cool. Anthrox made a homebrew for the Super Wild Card to use these to flash Super Smart Cards.
Super Smart Cards weren't battery backed, unfortunately. I made a few pictures for the bird site a while ago: nitter.net/herrkuhn/sta... There also was a parallel port adapter available for these.
Could be an alternative name, could be a clone company. OG Pro Fighter has so many clones, the design sure came around, wouldn't be surprised if PFX has been cloned, too.
That would be the right way to license all media, in my opinion. Since music isn't licensed exclusively, streaming services need to compete on service quality, and it doesn't matter where I'm subscribed. But that makes too much sense for the customer, I suppose.
It's official! #PicoIDE, the open source IDE/ATAPI drive emulator I've been working on for the better part of this year, will be launching at Crowd Supply! Go there to sign up for updates and to be notified when the campaign is live: www.crowdsupply.com/polpotronics...
Just noticed that the second post is missing here after reading it on Mastodon.
