Thank you for that!
Hi @mikeduncan.bsky.social I just found there is an AI guy who publishes shows under the title History of Rome and Revolutions with almost identical artwork. Calls itself Light Knot Studios. I am affected too, so are others. Sorry for the post, I have no contact details for you.
That bit in Marsilius may be particularity apt: „If a ruler acts unjustly or behaves as a tyrant, the legislator (the people) has the right to correct them and even depose them, as the ruler is a servant of the community.“ (loose summary translation)
Looks like the golden days of Ludwig the Bavarian - time to dust off your Marsilius of Padua and William of Ockham.

Did the Habsburgs gain Spain in the horizontal? Was Joanna of Spain really mad or just mad at/about her husband? Was Philipp just handsome or playing chess with Louis XII to unify Europe? Questions, questions….
All of them answeredd in today's episode of the History of the Germans Podcast...
Philosophers had a bit of a hiatus in the Middle Ages - but we have looked at some thinkers, like Jan Hus, William of Ockham, Marsilius of Padua, and earlier Abaelard, Bernhard of Clairvauxand Joachim of Fiore and probably lots more. I am tempted to talk about Habermas but not sure how to fit him in
At the Imperial Diet in Augsburg in 1500 Maximilian I was stripped of almost all of his power. From now on the “Reichsregiment”, made up of princes, lords and cities was to run things.
Did it work? And why is there a picture of an execution on the artwork?
