I am guessing this might shock some people reading this but another important point is that spoiler alert: many of these senators were not so secretly totally fine with most of the court's decisions.
You won't convince politicians to change the court by having nice meetings with them.
Someone else pointed out too that in fact this Congress, there are ZERO members on any bill about court expansion because the existing bills were not even reintroduced.
