There is a viral video going around on X and Facebook which has been seized on by the far-right.
It claims to show a young British Asian destroying a dry stone wall.
But as so often with such ragebait, the video isn't what it seems.
Here is my, probably forlorn, attempt to correct the record.

Very pleased to have played a role in the founding of @cynghrairailwylltio.cymru.
Here's what I had to say:
"Rewilding is repopulation. The answer to our social and ecological challenges is the same: we need a diversification of rural life, just as we need a diversification of habitat." /1

Very happy to be representing @righttoroam.bsky.social as a member of this new rewilding alliance, and to have authored its launch report: The Welsh Way to Wild.
1) Read the report and sign up to the mailing list at: rewildingalliance.cymru
2) Give the alliance a follow: @cynghrairalwylltio.cymru
Nigel Farage lied multiple times at his press conference today - including saying no-one who voted Green in Gorton and Denton has a job and he's "certain" Reform won most British born voters in the by-election, based on zero evidence, and yet not a single journalist there pushed back on them
Did you watch Dirty Business? And it is covering a very dirty business. Heartbreaking and infuriating.
Putting profit before public health - it’s a scandal and the Government MUST take action! Sick of sewage? Add your name to the petition today: you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/en...
@luketryl.bsky.social Hi Luke, have you published the full MiC polling on Labour defectors and nature policies that was discussed in the Guardian this week? Thanks! -

So pleased to announce Mark Drakeford - sponsored by @jameshitch.bsky.social with @rewildingbritain.org.uk - as the last MS to join our Species Champion project for 2021-2026 term! Just under the wire, we'll be trying to peregrine-spot at City Hall very soon

Hey!
I just called on the UK government to scrap anti-protest laws which attack our hard won democratic freedoms.
Please can you defend the right to protest too by signing the petition?

this is brilliant satire:
“Given what I took to be the anti-Trump nature of the Sketch, I of course assumed there would be a similar, balancing Sketch discussing the possibility that the Capitol building had attacked the rioters....."
"To ensure the BBC’s independence, impartiality and trust, Robbie Gibb should have no role in appointing the new director general"

Sanity. Thankfully.
How far we've slipped that this appeal even came to be needed.
I feel relief and joy for Marcus and his family.
With a lack of leadership on climate in the face of widespread public support, what else are people supposed to do?
The populist right can be beaten when people are offered hope and a vision of a fairer future.

⏰It's time: the EU’s credibility on human rights & climate is on the line.
Ahead of the #Omnibus I vote, 140+ EU & non-EU CSOs urge MEPs to back a strong, fair deal that protects workers, communities & our planet, not corporate interests.

*gasp*
We don't just want 9 river walks, we want access to all rivers. 96% of rivers in England and Wales have no rights of access. Landowners have blocked public access to rivers for centuries. Labour's promise is just 9 new river walks. We say that's not enough.
This is the third story in the past week detailing how natural carbon sinks are starting to falter. We don’t know nearly enough about how these tipping points could play out, but the potential for genuinely terrifying outcomes should be obvious by now.

Come on over …
You'd hope to get one off the back of that speech!
Emma Reynolds speech at Labour Party Conference drew on the 'spirit of Kinder Trespass' as a core Labour value......
Could this be a sign of hope?
“Food is at the heart of both human well-being and planetary health,” said co-chair Shakuntala Thilsted. “Transformation must go beyond producing enough calories. It must guarantee the right to food, fair work and a healthy environment for all.”
