My bank does this too, but at least they separated marketing from real notifications into different channels. I don't expect the app quality to improve, but for now I've enabled general notifications and blocked marketing.

Joined the gym to bring some discipline to my life. And now I'm too tired to do anything else. I managed to gain 5 kgs so that's a win.

A chart showing user ratings for every episode of the TV show "Person of Interest" (2011-2016) across five seasons. The grid uses a color-coded heatmap: Blue for "Absolute Cinema," Dark Green for "Awesome," and Green for "Great." The chart shows consistently high ratings, with the vast majority of episodes falling in the green "Great" to "Awesome" range. Several episodes in Seasons 3, 4, and 5 achieve the top "Absolute Cinema" status, with the highest scores being 9.8 (S4:E11 and S5:E13). The show has an overall rating of 8.5.

Just checked the rating for Person of Interest on a whim. This one was one of the best series I've watched, and the ratings track.

I hope LibreOffice gets to feature parity with Excel, I can use Pandas for serious stuff, but I'd prefer not writing code.

This has envigoured my efforts to go off Windows. I have been using Linux for personal stuff for long but work was an exception. Now I'm looking into automating away stuff that requires Excel, and using LibreOffice for the manual parts (mostly formatting).

It's mostly due to not investing in R&D. Indian IT contractors (WITCH and the likes) earned and sat on a huge pile of cash when the going was good. Then tarrifs happened and the world looks much more uncertain now. I mean India was famously friendly with Russia even before the invasion for long.

If anything, I had to sit through FCPA and AML regulations for the US when I worked at a bank in India. I did not work in forex or any international facing roles. But we did have to be really careful around these things.

It's frustrating and the sign of times that despite having the rights to the franchise, I can't watch any James Bond movies in Prime without paying for another subscription on top of Amazon Prime.
