It's been fun dipping back into my love of baking and cooking here and there. Of course I cook all the time, but baking definitely has been more scant than I used to do, but I'm gradually getting back into it, expanding and learning and getting to share my starter and finished goods around!

There's a whole website with tons of uses for this sweet sourdough starter, so I felt like it could be fun to play around with! I remember getting a few bags over the years growing up and loving the soft, sweet loaves of quick bread it made, I tried a lemon variation that was LOVELY!

I've also started keeping an "Amish friendship bread" starter as of about a month ago, using my original sourdough starter to start it vs commercial yeast. Apparently you can keep one on the counter just like a regular starter! So I'm playing around with that too!

New in random mammadog bullshit- tried out a new method of feeding my starter to strengthen her back up, and she responded but busting out her dang jar 😂 baked 2 loaves today with this result, but haven't taste tested yet! But the loaves look really pretty!
