I think it's really complicated because aside from violent or non consensual behavior I don't think we can really decide who gets to have access to us or not.

I mean, the issue is that more vulnerable workers have to keep seeing these clients and avoid both screening & deposits. It's easy to say ''make choices to keep hobbyists away'' if you have a bunch of inquiries. (and it's also easy to avoid the fact that some of your clients are hobbyists too)

It's also because of the ''reputation'' Montreal has. Once, an American client said to me ''you girls truly love sex, I know that's why you charge low''. The reference he gave me was from NYC and charged 1000$h lol

That's partly because Montreal used to be a very cheap city to live in, but that's no longer the case. Also the local agencies keep our rates low (and our boundaries weak). They know what clients expect and demand, and they keep things the same way. From what I understand.

It's probably a different experience whether you see the person independently or at a work place, from a client perspective. Also all of your money is going to the person.

Yes it is and it's because we have a certain reputation in Canada and in the US as well. That reputation is interesting to look into and makes you realize how much sw'rs influenced the culture, but it also harms us.

For sure. I'm already privileged that I have access to an incall, a lot of providers don't. The more time goes on, the less patience I have for a lot of things and the more boundaries I'm tempted to set..

We make these choices depending on many factors. The market is just not the same here.

In Montreal, it's not really a thing. I don't drive or uber, I take public transit, hence why it adds 2 hours to everything. It takes me an hour to get to my incall by metro.

Absolutely, but it makes people online furious if you have a 90 minute minimum here.. and during slower months I get more hour long sessions than anything else, so.

Yes it is. If I could do it, I'd ask for a 90 minute or 2 hour minimum, but in Montreal that's really not common, or at least not yet.

I think it's normal, honestly. And if I just go to my incall for one hour in the day, it took at least maybe 4 hours of my day in total including preparing myself, cleaning, and commute.

I'm getting there.. 💗 It's become really hard for me to do last minute. My incall is far away from my place, and it takes me some time to get it ready. I also like knowing what my plans for the day will be. Sometimes, I can accommodate it, but I like when someone plans to see me.
