The authentic is a line from one thing
along to the next; it interests us.
strangely, it relates to what works,
but is not quite the same. It never
swerves for revenge,

Or profit, or fame: it holds
together something more than the world,
this line.

I appreciate ZeroTier and the value in security systems that are resistant to quantum computing algorithms. But the email about this feels misleading to me: calling it a "quantum cryptographic construction" when in reality there's no quantum element, just defense against quantum computing threats.

esb.lol/alf Bluesky's "Application Layout Framework"

It's on tangled: tangled.org/esb.lol/alf/

Actually the license is specified as MIT in the npm repo, and the source code is there, but still don't see a public git repo for this code

Also, is there a git repository for @bsky.app/alf and a license? I couldn't find one... @esb.lol

Jesus pursued the vulnerable, protected the little ones, and poured out compassion on the ‘least of these.’ Any dismissal of abuse, any baptizing of evil, any cover-up, or denial of truth is nothing like Him.

Pardon my handwritten reflection in two images, cobbled together.

I sit with people in complicated grief every day. I sit with my own heart, as well. This is a letter to my heart – and maybe to yours as well, if you’ll receive it.

The work of redemption in broken places is a hard and dark place to go, but it is also a place of great beauty and hope. Shackles fall away, crippled feet run, stooped backs stand straight, truth is embraced, and hopes bloom.

I used @atproto.at to dig up the source by looking up my post here atproto.at/viewer?uri=d...
That helped remind me that it was originally posted by GroundUp, and I could find the original article. #atproto sometimes helps when Bluesky just says "Deleted"

It's tragic and infuriating that the administrative processes to support making schools safer for children in South Africa are not being streamlined and prioritised to the degree that would make an actual difference

store posts per interrupts effectiveness for a user, and calculate ideal number for that user by jpm-nz · Pull Request #100 · speakeasy-social/speakeasy 🤓 What should we check? Makes sense? Comments on PR 💫 What have you changed? Creates array of all possible post/interruptions values (i.e. 40 posts per interruption) - starts off evenly weighted...

Love this feature. Logged in but didn't manage to scroll long enough to trigger it :(
The algorithm is here github.com/speakeasy-so... and varies between 20 and 100 randomly but I'm clearly keen on more interruptions :)

Lost and Found: The Unexpected Journey of the MingKwai Typewriter | Made in China Journal It began as an innocuous inquiry on Facebook. Nelson Felix, a resident of New York State, posted in the group ‘What’s My Typewriter Worth?’ about a curious find he made while clearing out the basement...

A Facebook post unearthed a legend: the lost MingKwai typewriter, designed by Lin Yutang in 1947, resurfaced in a NY basement. Hailed as a marvel yet dismissed as a failure, its rediscovery revives debates over innovation, identity, and what it means to be Chinese, writes @yangyangcheng.bsky.social.

ghosts-toaster allows you to use @ghost.org as a nice usable frontend for designing multiple static websites on a single machine, but actually serve them by publishing the content as static files that are served elsewhere. #sideproject #ghost

GitHub - loskoderos/georender: Render GPS data as image Render GPS data as image. Contribute to loskoderos/georender development by creating an account on GitHub.

For my activitypub attempt, I imported data from a Strava export and used Georender to render maps. It worked quite well, and it supports GeoJSON as well as GPX, and can apparently convert. If you have an existing Strava account, using that export is a good way to start... github.com/loskoderos/g...

I have scripts to do arbitrary rebranding, just haven't got them in patch form, largely because of all the need to do in-typescript svg substitution etc

This is a statement from white South African Christian leaders in response to US government pronouncements about injustice in South Africa that totally misconstrue the real injustice in our nation!
