Like the last piece I posted, I chose to revisit this painting that was done about a year ago. I loved the bold expressive color but wanted to improve the composition some and tone down some areas to allow those of importance to stand out. 11x14 pastelpainting on Sennelier pastel card

This painting is a retake of one that I did in early 2024. I liked the scene but felt I overworked the bramble patch and got too busy in the foreground. This time I think it’s more to what my vision was when I captured the scene 9 x 12 pastel painting on mounted canvas paper

With another wave of winter weather threatening to turn everything white again, I felt the need to immerse myself in the warm bath of a summer meadow in bloom. Next off the easel, a redo from a smaller study done last year. I really liked the composition so decided to do it again larger and with some adjustments.
