Late night @DLLS_Stars pregame, watchalong, and postgame show tonight for Game 3 with the full crew…
What could go wrong?
Posts by Sam Nestler
Roope Hintz is not traveling, doubtful for Game 4.
Nate Bastian is traveling so he can start skating, but is not going to be an option until likely late in round 2 if they get there.
No new injuries to report!
Two years in a row.
"I know fans get frustrated that we don’t always see that version of Oettinger. But that game is why they spent $66 million to lock him up for eight years. When he is on, he’s a top-five goalie in the NHL."
And tonight, he was on.
@DLLS_Stars
1/16.
What a wacky game.
Stars even the series 1-1 and head to Minnesota.
Not quite a good time for a bench minor for too many men.
Wild PP with under four to go.
Mikko Rantanen out here juggling pucks over defensemen in the final five minutes of a one-goal playoff third period.
Faber double-dips after a huge save by Oettinger.
Game is not over.
Love when hockey is super intense and physical, then someone makes an elite-skilled play like Nick Foligno going off the back of the net to himself.
Nearly clicked for Minnesota.
Minnesota gets through the Foligno extra minor nearly perfectly, but Faber puts them right back on the kill with a delay of game penalty.
Game is off the rails.
Love it.
No Trenin to start the second period for Minny.
Dallas probably lucky not to be trailing.
They did create more chaos in the offensive end, but have to find more resistance in front of their own net. Getting beat their consistently.
Colin Blackwell just laid the BOOM on Yakov Trenin.
Clean, hard hit in the neutral zone on an absolute hospital pass from Bogosian.
Wow. Tre
Wowwwyyyy Brock Faber.
4-on-4 seems to favor Minnesota, especially when they have defensemen do that.
Essentially an own goal by Wallstedt is precisely what Dallas needed.
Some puck luck puts them up 1-0.
Oof, that is a bad, bad penalty by Rantanen. His third minor in two games, none of which have been necessary, nor in the defensive zone.
This time, he lost the puck at center ice before stopping his feet and reaching out with his stick.
Big PK early.

Full attendance of the healthy bodies at morning skate ahead of Game 2.
Still no sign of Roope Hintz or Nathan Bastian, as expected.
For those crazy enough to think otherwise, Jake Oettinger is in the starter’s net.
It’s never truly a must-win game until you face elimination.
But with how good and structured both teams are, this sure feels like one tonight in Dallas.
Roope Hintz is still not skating, with the team or on his own.
For those who miss Tyler Seguin (everyone).
Not sure if this will be a switch for Game 2 as well, but Jake Oettinger just came on the ice for practice in his original white and green pad setup, not the new black ones.
Still has the black ‘99 mask.
"You can't get your game going if we're not going to win battles. You can take any metric, and if you lose the skating battles and puck battles, you're always on the receiving end of everything negative."
@DLLS_Stars
Wild win 6-1, lead the best-of-seven series 1-0.
And they deserved it.
Dallas will lose another Game 1.
The good news is it only counts as one loss, no matter how many goals you give up!
