👩🏻‍🔬 Today, on the International Day of Cereals, we highlight our research on wheat and barley 🌾 Their growth depends on efficient nitrogen use, and at NUMAPS, we study how to optimize it for better yields and sustainability. Science for a greener future! 🌱🔬

🌱Understanding nitrogen use in cereals starts at the molecular level🔬We use Brachypodium distachyon calluses as a tool to unravel the molecular mechanisms behind nitrogen use in cereals. Every step, from petri dishes to fields, brings us closer to more sustainable agriculture🌾

🌱Field season begins! ✨We've started our wheat experiments, testing nitrogen use efficiency under real field conditions. Excited for the season ahead! 🚜

🌍✨ Had the pleasure of giving a talk on soil and soil health as part of the ECHO project, a fantastic citizen science initiative empowering people to monitor and protect European soils 🏞️🌱
