Hehe, so I haven't been able to do much crafting at all because my thumb on my dominant hand had been hurting a LOT. I'm now attempting to crochet again...I know I have the tapestry to weave in but hush, I need to start a new project to satisfy the brain goblin scraping the walls of its enclosure

Three crocheted circles, one as a final ornament, two that are works in progress. The finished one has red, white and green in a spiral pattern with a ribbon loop to hang on the tree. The smaller of the unfinished ornament is a swirl of green and white. The final unfinished one is white, green and red in a peppermint candy formation. The ends still need to be woven in. All of this sits on a black background.

Asked my mom if she'd like some ornaments for the tree; so I'm making some flat, circular ornaments with felt a back and ribbon loops.

I've put myself in crochet jail, as in I'm making myself not crochet until I weave in the ends of my tapestry so far. So many ends that I wish would weave themselves 😮‍💨

Oh for sure! I personally prefer dryer mediums and always struggled with painting. I managed to lock in for this and it turned out beautifully.

Thank you!! I think my favorite part is the fleshy mass on the mask. Despite not being good at painting, I think it turned out killer!

I wanted to share how I figure out my proportions on amigurumis! I'll take a pic of what I'm working on. Then I pop it into IbisPaint X and draw on the features I need. I can also duplicate pieces I need more than one of as well. Tl;dr I edit my photos in an art app. Unedited vs edited

So I found this capybara pattern by Complicated Knots and after making it like, 2 times before, I felt like I knew the pattern well enough to do some color changes! I think it looks pretty good!

So I'm working on an amigurumi pattern to hopefully release and decided to try YU/YO because I typically do YO/YO and I can see why people like this method. It looks really neat, reminds me of cross stitch a bit.

It's at least something I'll definitely keep in mind next time I do something like this
