The first season of Past Lives is winding down and the second starts next week! This one is all about Bodily Experiences - people from the past we know through their physical remains, like skeletons. We're going to meet Mesolithic shamans, Scythian princesses, and soldiers dropped in mass graves.

Every time I need a boost of seratonin I think about the Jane Schoenbrun adaptation of Charles Burn's comic Black Hole we might be getting. Keeps me going.

A group of 3 modern witches and two girls is working to magically move their house belongings across a pretty open grass plain as large clouds float in the sky. One witch is pouring tea in the air for the two girls while admiring her reflection in a mirror and pulling out books. Another is carrying a guitar while floating in the air and striking a conversation, and the third is keeping watch in the sky with her magic tree-flower staff. There are various antique and mysterious decorations and trinkets scattered about in addition to furniture. This is an in progress screen capture of a drawing in Procreate.
