🚨 NEW: An anonymous Government Minister has now called for Keir Starmer to resign
"This is a tipping point. There can be no more excuses; we're past apologies and there cannot be another fall person in the form of Olly Robbins. The PM must go"

Indeed it is. It shows that Ealing is turning against Labour, which is what we're also seeing in our canvassing.
Has anyone noticed that wherever JD Vance goes, he just makes a mess.
In Munich he insulted European allies. In Greenland he turned everyone against Trump. And now he’s helped Viktor Orbán lose re-election.
Maybe better to spend more time on the couch VP.
Ealing planning Committee: Application for new light industrial units to replace Nijjar Dairy in Eastman Road, W3, GRANTED unanimously with the addition of a condition I proposed requiring detailed management of the use of the break area and car park.
Very good point from @thedoctorkhan.bsky.social that the diversity of juries makes them fairer to diverse defendants than judges and magistrates who tend to be less representative of the population.
An unusual Ealing Council meeting where the Labour administration performed a series of u-turns perhaps copying Starmer. A u-turn on stopping using the Log Cabin's after school club, a u-turn on the area of the Warren Farm nature reserve and a u-turn on parking restrictions around St Mary's Perivale
In response to Lib Dem Cllr Jonathan Oxley's urgent question, the Labour portfolio holder has u-turned and cancelled the plan to cease referals to the much-loved Log Cabin's after school club in Northfield Avenue, which would have threatened its viability.
NJ lawmakers introduce the FUCK ICE Act.
The bill "permits civil action for violations of US Constitution related to immigration enforcement."
Delivering liberal democracy to North Korea one leaflet at a time...!
I agree with Wes Streeting about something... he's toast at the next general election.

The reason why the Labour party wants a new leader is that the polls and local elections both put them on the brink of death, the policy agenda is a mess of warmed-over Milibandism pared with hypocritical social conservativism and no obvious route to the upside.
We had a great reception this weekend canvassing in Ealing Common ward. Most people we spoke to said they're definitely or probably voting in May for the local Lib Dem team: @conniehersch.bsky.social, Lakhbir Singh and I. Many people are increasingly dissapointed with Labour nationally and locally.
Reported something unseasonal in Ealing Common ward - Christmas trees in February that need clearing!

Kemi Badenoch promising a British ICE in an official Conservative party video
In September Kemi Badenoch promised a British ICE.
Does she still stand by that?
"Our new Removals Force, modelled on US ICE, will deport 150,000 illegal immigrants each year"

That's sensible in some places. A lot of it is simply about thinking through the way changes work in practice though eg stopping bikes blocking pavements by establishing geofenced parking locations seemed like a good idea but there are too few locations so some get completely overwhelmed.
The petition text is here amd no we aren't saying that SUDS aren't needed at all. www.ealinglibdems.org.uk/lammasparkre...
I did one year of Latin but sadly no Ancient Greek.
I pronounce it the same way as Melvin. TIL it referred to three lobes.
My Lib Dem ward colleague @conniehersch.bsky.social handed in a petition calling for an independent inquiry into the Lammas Park SUDS fiasco and asked for order to be brought to the chaos of e-bikes blocking pavements.
I quizzed the Labour portfolio holder re how much it cost council taxpayers to construct & then demolish the flats overlooking Dean Gardens when Henry Construction went bust (he refused to answer) and why Ealing didn't react quickly like Lib Dem Sutton did when one of their developer partners folded
At Ealing's full council meeting I slammed the Labour administration for their delay implementing a levy on developers (community infrastructure levy) for 15 years, letting the developers off approximately ÂŁ90m that the council could have used to improve services. @ealinglibdems.bsky.social
This is an obvious sign of Trump's mental decline. There's no reason to make up the White House doctor hiking with the Obama daughters almost dying due to a viper bite in the Peruvian jungle. Confabulation is the term for the creation of false memories in dementia patients.

That works, though the height difference would be amusing.
Don't worry. He's invested in a bigger whiteboard.
Asking questions about local government funding reform and how it is likely to affect Ealing.
Sorry, forgot to tag @politicaltrims.bsky.social!
Me, with shorter hair and some passport photos outside Big Jim's Trims.
Traditional haircut picture - this time trim was ahead of new passport photo so that the mini-me in my passport doesn't look scruffy for a decade.
ps Lib Dems - don't forget to vote for me first preference for Federal Conference Committee in the internal elections! Thank you.
Thank you! Much appreciated.
