sometimes you can't tell the difference between people suggesting transition and people suggesting you switch to linux
(probably because it's often the same people)

I'm on Windows 11 and I mistyped: not full screen, but maximised window, on a secondary monitor. I could send a screenshot, but would prefer not to do that in public.
Introducing the WGAW Adult Animation Report Card: If you are pitching an animated series, this provides a snapshot of which companies have recently been more vs. less receptive to WGA coverage, which you can use as a guide to help determine which companies to pitch to. www.wga.org/the-guild/go...
@fadeinpro.com I'm finding the program (Windows) in full screen doesn't _quite_ fill the screen. Clicking on the edge of the screen selects whatever is behind the program. Minor issue, but wanted to report it just in case.
@chrishewitt.bsky.social you have a TON of bylines in the most recent Empire. Like, have you been able to sleep the past month?
I got a Netflix error message saying my VPN was on and therefore they were limited in what stuff they could let me watch. But my VPN was off.
The solution? Turning it on. I could watch everything again.

I try not to get sanctimonious on main, but if your reaction to someone losing their home and all the precious things in it, both tangible and intangible, is to say out loud "We'll fuck them, they're rich," whether they are or not, there's only one fucking thing to say to you:
We should probably refer to any trans subjects as "disrupting gender paradigms", so we instantly get all the tech bros to reject transphobia.

I only got one eval (got selected for a free one), but I'm still happy with it.
For all intents and purposes, a mind-reading, shape-shifting incarnation of chaos.
Ive avoided it, worried it'll just be mean. Mentally I'm chunking it with The Bubble, which really went full in on "aren't superhero movies bad", while being... not particularly good itself.
Top image: Bitzer from Wallace and Gromit salutes, next to a door. He's labeled "The Epicurean Paradox". Bottom image: the Farmer from Wallace and Gromit opens the door, smashing Bitzer. The farmer is labeled "Occam's Razor".
I've written seven features and the third one was the first good one. And that's because I did so many rewrites on the first two that really thought me how to write.
Tech bros will disrupt anything except for capitalism.
There's this exercise is animation courses that's basically making a very good drawing and then tearing it up. I don't think there's a good writing equivalent.
The number one advice any & every writing professional can & will give you is this:
DO NOT BE AFRAID TO SUCK.
You have spent years reading books, watching movies & TV, developing taste to know good from bad. NO ONE GETS TO READ YOUR WRITING UNTIL YOU LET THEM. Trust your taste & write fearlessly.
Yes! Sometimes it feels like I'm the only person who even remembers it exists. Great part of that nineties, urban, amber coloured, religiously themed horror subgenre. Also Jacob's Ladder and Devil's Advocate, among others.
No, 5th, sorry about that.
@daveypretension.bsky.social Real fun to hear you reference Saint Nicholas Day, as it sounds very much like the Dutch feast of Sinterklaas (which was a cultural precursor to Santa Claus). It's December 6th and it involves putting shoes out and singing.
House of Italian-a, how you say, Stereotypahs.

Are we sure "The Roman Empire" isn't just code for gay stuff?
The Gambler plays slightly different to those who practice origami.
Very happy to have a way to introduce myself if we ever meet in person.
Yay! You were one of the people I loved following on the previous app and that made it hard to quit it. (I also think I recommended Fade In to you?)
