Micro.blog 3.6.6 for iOS has been released in the App Store with several improvements, especially fixes to the text editor, photo viewer, and searching your posts.

Added support for photo collection shortcodes in shared notes. See this help page to learn more about photo collections.

On the Uploads page, fixed the “…” → “New Post” menu item from actually attaching the image to the new post.

Updated Inkwell for Mac to version 1.1.3, adding a new photo window for when you want to zoom in.

Added special support for rendering Wordle puzzles correctly by default, so you no longer need to remember the Markdown trick for formatting lines with two spaces at the end. Micro.blog detects Wordle and adds the spaces for you. 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩

Fixed an OPML sync issue that could cause some feeds to be duplicated. This does not affect OPML file import, just the new feature where you can set Micro.blog / Inkwell to automatically refresh from an OMPL file under account settings.

Released Inkwell for Mac version 1.1.2, updating the toolbar and fixing a bug or two.

Added a new help page with a better intro to Inkwell, including links to the apps.

Fixed an intermittent problem with our *.micro.blog subdomain SSL certificates. Any expiration errors today should be resolved. Always good to use your own domain name!

Fixed a publishing problem where small typo fixes sometimes weren’t synced to your blog.

Updated Inkwell for Mac to version 1.1.1, improving Reading Recap and fixing some other issues.

Updated the web version of Inkwell with a few improvements such as linkable URLs for sections like highlights and bookmarks, and text color and layout tweaks.

Fixed emoji and other special characters in RSS item summaries from displaying correctly in the timeline.

Added Hugo 0.158 as an option on the Design page. Upgrading to the latest Hugo brings with it some behind-the-scenes optimizations that make publishing much faster. See this help page for details.

Fixed an intermittent publishing error this morning. If any blogs were out of date with your latest posts, they will update shortly.

Added new “OPML Sync…” button on Account for Inkwell users. This lets you set an external OPML file (for example from FeedLand or another feed platform) that Inkwell will automatically import feeds from. There’s also a new URL on that page to get your own subscriptions.

Inkwell 1.1 for Mac is now available, fixing bugs and adding a new podcast controls pane.

Some of the summaries in Inkwell’s Reading Recap today were a little awkward. We’ve corrected the issue for tomorrow and going forward.

Updated Epilogue for Android to version 2.1.1, bringing it in line with new books data source on the web, iOS, and macOS.

Updated Inkwell for Mac to version 1.0.2, fixing bugs and adding features like hovering over links, new Share and Print menu items, and other improvements.

To discourage spammers from using free Micro.blog accounts, the notes feature now requires a payment method during your trial.

Improved faster sync in Inkwell for the web.

Fixed missing posts for some feeds in Inkwell. This was particularly a problem for Six Colors.

Added new favicon and iOS home screen icon for the web version of Inkwell. Thanks Brad Ellis for designing the icon! It will be used in upcoming native apps as well.

Fixed a few syncing issues — duplicate posts, delayed refresh, and others — in our new feed reader, Inkwell. Also improved parsing of some RSS feeds.

Fixed some more issues with assigning books to bookshelves, publishing bookshelf changes, and updating reading goals.

Updated Micro.blog for macOS, fixing the books search. “Check for Updates” to grab the latest version.

Updated Epilogue for iOS with a new books search, fixing recent issues.

Fixed an issue with cross-posting options not showing up or being used correctly for family and teams plans.

For RSS beta folks, I’ve rolled out improvements to the quoted text in Reading Recap. It wasn’t truncated well in certain cases.
