heh, and the reason I practically LIVED at that pub in my Brighton years was because I could get from the pool to a pint of HSB in a couple of minutes (they used to have noticeably quick service).
All Lehmann’s titles are applicable rly.
dust jacket for Rosamond Lehmann’s later life autobio The Swan In The Evening
Book Titles I Would Have Nicked For My ‘Difficult Second’ Crappy SynthPop Album If I Had You Know Actually Got Around To That:
n long; mostly alone but now and then teaching a young lady how to punt.’
nearest book, p.42, second sentence:
‘Up and down, too, goes Colonel Poole, casting a boiled eye upon us, doffing a straw boater to our parents; spare, wizened, spruce, wielding his punt pole with military precision; white-flanneled automaton, fanatical, punting alone day long, spring, summer, autum

whoa, that site has some insane end-of-level-boss ratio of ads to content:
AUUGH! (tq)
But is this the bread guy? I am really confused.
OH. HIM? OKAY.
(never knowingly heard).
7” sleeve. I spent a lot of 1979 drawing ‘THE REZILLOS’ logos and copying the illustration style with a 0.35 Rotring Isograph (wrong tool, but the only tool I had).
best live track in any genre is The Rezillos ‘Cold Wars’.
well, obviously, this Jason Sourdough person WHOMST I didn’t know even existed until today. David Cassidy’s (*SCREAM*) scar would be a better brand ambassador.
what.
the.
hell.
lol (just viewed that on YouTube).
Sudden nostalgia for the days of flipping past flyblown Graham Parker and The Rumour records in assorted record shop bins. I should maybe listen to at least one GP&TR track before I die, right?
The Margaret Munson character driving it. When I was a youngster, I remember loving the interiors, and the feel that they’re all non-committal/observers to, let’s be clear, LIFE-CHANGING events. Obviously that is/was/has been a ‘me’ problem.
Sleve McDichael
Bronson Pinchot as Serge in Beverley Hills Cop.
I know.
Kidding. But quite a lot doesn’t happen. Wondering if it’s actually a numbers station type of thing. 1958 was a year.
Indiscreet. (and then I wouldn’t watch it because ZzzZz).
‘go mouldy’ = DEAD? In this place we run two starters just in case. It’s still like being held hostage…
Heh, I did say ‘hibernation’ ^ but haven’t dared, because what if I kill it? *’Macarthur Park’ music swells*
yes, ‘amd’.
after a long time resisting (amd only baking soda bread because it’s instant), I do loaves regularly and the only hassle with sourdough is having the keep the starter alive which, if you take a holiday, means putting into hibernation or getting someone to maintain it. It’s a pet, basically.
mostly liked for the use of ‘Authentocrat’, which I haven’t seen in the wild for 10-15 or so. Your ‘totes amazeballs’ summer beckons.
Rogue Trooper’s eyes are wrong 2/10
(no wireless, less space than a Nomad, lame)
look, I was checking out flats in Luton* on Rightmove and needed a palate cleanser.
*and, no.
omg so arbstrarct #harshtarg
