I love that I'm in the perfect nexus of nerddom that when I hear the words "Poison Ivy Rorschach", I get excited whatever the context.

DAREDEVIL BORN AGAIN season 2 episode 5 is a high watermark for the entire series eschewing action for an excellent and emotional character driven story that proves again why this is one of the MCU’s greatest productions.
I was fine with most of the horror I watched young, as I was exposed to horror as early as 5 and just enjoyed it like any other film that I was into, but at the age of 10, I watched The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. That was too young for me. It fucked me up.
Although it's a favourite now, so 🤷🏻♂️
This really depends on their feelings about smacked asses.
That would be a positive in my book.
new episode of Daredevil, new episode of Invincible, new episode of The Boys. I'm eating good today.
Teenage me watching this scene and noticing that Let's Rock is backwards as a way to reference the Man from Another Place's backwards/forwards speech, blew up and then rewired my brain.
The pit is completely enclosed. And it's full of chocolatey objects, like eggs or something.

Ten points to whoever can place this quote without googling it.
Happy birthday! I hope you've had a great day

"Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose" is still one of the best episodes of television ever
People will now use things like AI to summarise complex subjects and think that this equates to learning the information fully. Which is simply just not the case.
When I was faced with someone saying this, I replied that the explanation is succinct because the education was thorough. You only show an understanding by explaining something briefly, but you won't gain an understanding from that alone.
I've noticed a trend in recent years of people repeating the rhetoric that if you can't explain something succinctly, then you don't understand it. People seem to have conflated that with learning, as if you must fully understand something from a succinct explanation.
a tumblr post with a user named bvckbiter writing "is this character good or bad" "is this shop unproblematic or not" "is this arc deserving of redemption or not" girl... underneath it is a screenshot from the show shōgun of a character saying "i don't have time for this christian nonsense"

How many Trump supporters do you think will just act like nothing happened and move on after he croaks?
Like I do often think they're only going so hard because they refuse to admit they're wrong. When he's dead... I think a lot will just suddenly be a lot quieter.

I also urge everyone to watch Coherence. A brilliant sci-fi chamber piece in which Brendon gives an excellent turn.

R.I.P Nicholas Brendon.
This one really stings. Buffy was huge to me in my formative years.
It’s a show I still love, and got my partner obsessed with in recent years, and Xander was a layered and fucked up character who was always given heart and humour by Brendon’s performance.
Cats are such graceful, majestic creatures

An incredible concept, executed with a perfect sense of isolation and existential terror. Some of the most effective and creepy images on film.
Just saw a tattoo convention and damn near every artist was using AI portaits of themselves.......
Y'all.... Realize you're..... Artists.... Right...? You could easily draw it yourself. Like??????????
The cover for Hammer heroes, legends and monsters Blu-ray
Perfect companion to a new episode of Hammer time.

I love Psycho 2. It's very nearly as good as the original, in my opinion. 3 and 4 are better than I expected, too.

For me, the perfect blend of sci-fi and paranormal horror. An outstanding achievement from Hammer, that escalates with the finest weirdness and doom in film.

Probably the found footage mockumentary that inspired and affected me the most.
The build of terror and sense of realism in this movie is unmatched for me.
It speaks volumes that the BBC refused to ever show this TV movie again.

10. Noroi: The Curse
Another in my top found footage/mockumentary list. An incredible movie filled with dread and mystery, with a horrifying and bleak conclusion.
Just excellent.

One of my favourite found footage/mockumentary movies, that studies what it means to be haunted by loss in intimate and terrifying ways.
