Remember when we could have had Bernie Sanders or Cory Booker as the democratic nominee, but instead the DNC shoved Biden down our throats? I do.

A woman with fair skin and brown hair styled in two braids is wrapped in a chunky, handmade crochet shawl with a gradient of earthy tones, from light gray to black. She has a soft smile and is looking directly at the camera. The background is a bright blue curtain, contrasting with the neutral colors of the shawl.

A book is open to Chapter 22, with text visible on both pages. In the foreground, a knitting project in progress, made with pink and red variegated yarn, rests on wooden knitting needles. The user’s fingers are holding the knitting, slightly visible at the bottom of the image. The setting appears cozy, with warm lighting illuminating the book and knitting.

While I can’t speak for all designers, I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that most probably don’t care if you share that pattern you bought with your mother, brother, etc.

Sharing it with a mass group of people over the internet - fucking stealing! Stealing food right out of kids mouths.

A close-up of a pair of handmade red crochet mittens with a dragon scale texture. One mitten is embellished with gold embroidery in a crisscross pattern, highlighting the scale-like design. The mittens are resting on the lap of someone wearing dark pants with a celestial sun and moon pattern. Lunar New Year special request from my daughter in progress, dragon scale crochet gloves. I just need to finish lining out the scales in gold. Surface slip stitching in each double crochet and then half double in each chain space.
Using acrylic for the red, silk handspun for the gold.

“The Night Ship” was SO good! Part fantasy, part historical fiction. I loved it.

“Rose Madder” I liked way more than I thought I would! Trigger warnings for sure but uh, if you read SK you know he doesn’t hold back.

Gramma's Dishcloth (Grandmother's 2nd Favorite) pattern by PJ Allen This is just another take on Grandmother’s Favorite Dishcloth. There are a few changes I’ve made to accommodate my OCD need for symmetry. Each dishcloth takes roughly 1oz. of yarn, as written. I hope ...

Thank you, PJ Allen, for fixing the skew of the original “Grandma’s Favorite Dishcloth” knitting pattern and making a truly symmetrical, easy, standard dishcloth pattern. 🧶

Anything I can knit while reading is a big yes!

It’s just a tube of ribbing and stockinette, but I am so grateful for this item of clothing when I walk the dog on frigid mornings. Next week we are looking at a low of 1. So that’s nice. 🥶

“Song of a Captive Bird” by Jazmin Darnik…I read this like 5 years ago and I still think about it.

“Where Dark Things Grow” was an amazing debut thriller by @theandrewkclark.bsky.social , definitely recommend!

“The Hitchcock Hotel” I enjoyed way more than I thought I would.
