Local human impacts interact with geography to drive benthic community depth zonation on contemporary coral reefs | Proceedings of the Royal Society B: Biological Sciences Changes in biophysical conditions and energetic resource supply across depths are predicted to promote or limit the abundance of different coral reef benthic groups. However, the degree to which regional differences in biophysical processes govern and ...

Gympanzees - A world of fun & fitness for all disabled children Our vision is that every disabled child and young person in the UK can enjoy a life filled with exercise, play and friendship.

My amazing friend Steph Wheen founded @Gympanzees UK to give disabled kids access to play, sport, & community. On June 16 (in 12 days!), they launch a crowdfunder to build the UK’s 1st inclusive health & activity centre. They've raised £5M—this push gets it built! Info: gympanzees.org 💙 More soon.

The Role of Long‐Term Hydrodynamic Evolution in the Accumulation and Preservation of Organic Carbon‐Rich Shelf Sea Deposits Mapping mud and organic carbon distributions is critical for blue carbon stock assessments and effective marine management in shelf seas Shelf sea hydrodynamics since the Last Glacial Maximum hav...

NEW: Mud Matters. Dr Sophie Ward et al. show how ancient tides shaped carbon-rich deep-sea mud sinks storing CO₂ for 1000s of yrs. 📉If disturbed, they could release carbon into the atmosphere—worsening warming.
