It's ending the ability for wifey and I to play shared games simultaneously together. With the virtual cards, I could still share the game with her but we can't play together without purchasing two copies. We played Animal Crossing and Rise together using 1 copy before

right now, I can register my account as the primary on my wife's device and she can play my games on her account. And I can play my games on my device while logged into my account, thus allowing us to play simultaneously.

With this, the games function as physical copies, making this not possible
