Okay then disagree, I will be unfollowing then because if you don’t realise it is egregious to get on the internet and criticise another culture’s historically significant cultural dress, I don’t have anything more to say

What on earth does that have to do with you posting on the internet, criticism of another country’s cultural dress?
Well yes you’ve given a completely different example to what you’re actually doing. You’re not standing in a shop in Korea, you’re espousing on the internet that you don’t like certain aspects of another country’s cultural dress.
Okay but you see how you have compared your preferences to those of actual Korean people? Those are not the same. As outsiders we don’t actually get to have an opinion on everything within a culture. That’s a colonial mindset.
I am aware there are different aesthetics within hanbok but it is a choice as a non-Korean to vocalise your dislike of a form of cultural dress and call it fashion. It was literally worn as an act of resistance during the Japanese occupation, cultural dress is so much more than just fashion.
I am from a country with distinctive cultural dress and I can tell you now it’s incredibly disrespectful for you to treat it as fashion. It’s not and you should really educate yourself before you dismiss it as such. It’s not fashion & the fact that you think so is frankly concerning
Cultural dress is not ultimately just fashion and I don’t think you understand that. It has so much weight both historically and intrinsic to a country and its people, especially RACE!
I enjoy reading your opinions but I don’t think it’s appropriate for us as non-Koreans to have an opinion on Korean cultural dress. I’d say the same of any culture I’m not part of.
Ah okay sorry to hear that, I guess the only where it’s streaming in the USA is Disney+
Okay my US moots say they watched it on Disney+/Hulu where it has its alternative title
Have you checked its alternative name? It’s also called Going to You at a Speed of 493 km. I find on Disney+ searching for the exact full titlewill pull up a kdrama that is otherwise hidden, like Crazy Love only comes up if you search all of it. Crazy or Love won’t pull it up.
It may be on Disney+ in America, always good to check both of them
America definitely has it, all my US moots were tweeting about it when it was airing
Ooh ig probably bc the grey wig in Blossom was so iconic and this is the Director’s sophomore drama in prime time. He did webdramas like Butterflied Lover (good!) before
Damn you guys really unlucky. To be fair we don’t have Love All Play on our Disney+ and I believe no place other than the US has Hulu so 😮💨
The director LOVES a grey haired wig, (see Song Mo in the opening ep of Blossom 😍). When he moved from webdramas to prime time interviewers asked him was he excited to have big budgets for fight scenes etc.? He was like: ‘Fight scenes? Yh sure I guess, but I spend it all on wigs and costumes’ 😭
Maybe it’s on Hulu?
It’s on Disney+ now
Nope! Park Shin Hye has done some great romances since her marriage
I’m enjoying it, I adore the lead actors from their previous projects and I always enjoy a diabolical FL so it’s right up my alley
Ooh I would totally have written this off assuming they would make her lose weight
I had them as a baby! They disappeared during my teens and are back now. I still have dimple envy bc mine are a rather basic placement and others have really prominent ones
Me too 😭 My dad has shown me the occasional AI video he thought was funny, and I should’ve known then. But true horror was when my mum showed me a rare photo of my great-grandmother which had been edited with AI, just so she could make it MOVE! I watched my ancestor blink at me uncannily like:
Yeah the phone case was gross, the artist is known for illustrations of (*tw: pedo) and what got me to look at him sideways. Before that I liked him
They are dumb tearful orphans but their hearts are in the right place! 😭 I did find them incredibly annoying when they ran off though
Also love that veteran US character actor Sebastian Roche genuinely loves kdramas which is why he agreed to be in Queen of Tears! It’s like getting a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company to star in your drama!
