I'm hoping to do some writing this WNBA season about the Atlanta Dream as the season progresses. Here's a little off-season review post-draft and free agency:

For Peachtree Hoops, @collinaj.bsky.social kicked off our Atlanta Dream coverage for the 2026 season.
•What went down in free agency?
•Who the Dream came away with in the draft
•And of course, the major Angel Reese factor
And much more here www.peachtreehoops.com/atlanta-drea...
Not on my second quarter BINGO card.
This definitely makes it more likely for Sika Koné to get one of the twelve roster spots, to provide depth in the frontcourt.
Another fantastic piece summarizing roster requirements with team-by-team predictions!
I agree w/@richardcohen.bsky.social about the obvious Dream eight. I'd guess Koné, Borlase, and Thierry make the final roster, with either Cazorla/Winterburn out, plus Nivar and Phelia to developmental slots.
This was a great analysis to explain why Cloud hasn't signed yet and how the math works for teams with the new salary cap and roster requirements! I highly recommend reading this for anyone wondering what kind of space their team has for signing any of the remaining WNBA free agents still available.
Ordered. Nice!

I'm at the deli. I'm at the central intelligence agency. I'm at the combination deli & cental intelligence agency.
Congrats on being drafted to the WNBA! Time to talk to Holly Rowe!
Or do the emoji prediction thing?
Alright Dream fans:
Jordin Canada is back with the Dream, per @kareemcopeland.bsky.social.
Brittney Griner finalizing a 7-figure deal with the Sun, per @sheknowssports.bsky.social.
Bit of a shakeup in Dream land, but not shocking. Aligns with my thinking that Dream would prioritize JC.
I wonder if the team will get any medical updates on how Brionna Jones's meniscus recovery is going before committing big money to bring her back on a new contract.
I feel like Smesko wants Naz to be starting. I hope you're right that Atlanta is able to bring back Jordin Canada.
I'd project Canada, Gray, Howard, Naz, and Angel to be the starting five for opening day, barring any injuries or surprise free agency signing.
And I'd love some surprise signings.
If you’re wondering how Angel Reese might fit with the Atlanta Dream roster, here’s my high-level thoughts.
Immediate winners? Atlanta’s rebounding and ability to clean up plays.
How do we get the @atlantadream.bsky.social off The Bad Place and posting on Bluesky, The Sports App?
My initial thoughts on what the Angel Reese deal means for the Dream. #WNBA
I think Georgia State's arena could be a nice middle option between the size and schedule conflicts of State Farm and what we currently have with Gateway Arena.
A huge and very cool move for the Atlanta Dream to make. Time for the team to announce plans to play in a bigger arena. With two straight seasons of home sellouts, demand is going to be too high at the current arena. A move to Georgia State's arena or more games at State Farm should be discussed.
I wonder if this makes it more or less likely for Atlanta to re-sign Brionna Jones and/or Brittney Griner.
On the flip side, I'm very confused by the prospect of watching EPL matches at night.
My wife and I are flying to London today for our first visit to England. We were discussing how we'd keep up with WNBA news across the time zones. It will be a true Richard Cohen experience for free agency this year for us.

I'm looking at the Atlanta Dram UFAs. Is there any chance they could have a handshake extension deal with Allisha Gray already that would allow them to core another player like Jordin Canada? Or will they have to core Gray to guarantee she is still on the team next year?
Okay, maybe we just missed that. The sound quality from the PA was ROUGH up in the 200s where we were.
Fun arena, though! My first time there. Would be a great size for... say... a WNBA team in Atlanta.
My wife and I were so excited when we saw them! But. They didn't ever introduce them or recognize them on camera at all, did they? Just had them awkwardly throw out one t-shirt into the crowd?
Atlanta Dream stars Allisha Gray and Rhyne Howard spotted from across the arena at the Atlanta Vibe Major League Volleyball today!
I'm curious if BG and her wife bought a house in Atlanta. With the kiddo, maybe they will want the stability of staying in Atlanta.
I'm also nervous about BJ's injury and general health.
We'll see what happens!
The 13th overall pick might bring in a decent bench rotation piece, but probably not a starting contributor. The free agency frenzy is where Atlanta will need to bolster the starting lineup, if Canada, BG and/or BJ don't return.
Why aren't Andraya Carter and company doing this show?
They're talking more about LAST year's expansion team than THIS year's expansion teams.
