Good morning!

I will miss Kevin Bieksa on the hockey night in Canada panel, and Ken and Evanka on the daily round-ups, but the way Sportsnet was going, everyone's probably fired by now anyway.

Because Sportsnet sucks so much, we decided to watch the playoffs in french this year and subscribed to TVA+. So far, their app works 100 times better than Sportsnet's ever did, and since they aren't based in Ontario, there are no gambling ads. Highly recommend.

We've had a few days without snow, and a lot of the snow on the ground even melted! More snow in the forecast for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, but in the friendlier 'chance of flurries' category.
So...no. The answer is no. The snow has not finally stopped. But I'm living in the sunnier now.

We're having a beautiful crisp spring day here. Took the shrub hubs off the hydrangeas and are cleaning and reorganizing the house so we're ready for the playoffs!!!!

There's a hockey Youtuber I really like (@thehockeyguy.bsky.social ) who refuses to promote gambling and I have mad respect for that.

It dawned on me today that I wrote Smug Fuckers (my song about advertising) before sports betting was made legal (in one Canadian province) and now we all have to put up with constant gambling ads.

Time to write another verse methinks.

They're playing the Immigrant Song in the Islander's Arena, which seems like an odd choice when a team from the land of ice and snow has entered your country and is beating your team.

Putting together a set of simpler guitar songs for the Warble, and we won't practice classical during Yakuza this week, but hopefully we'll feel good enough to be able to hit people with bicycles. Otherwise, it's basically going to be a mahjong stream. (2/2)

Also, because I'm a goldfish, I swear, every single day I forget that Phillip Danault is back on the Habs, and then we watch a game and I go Oh yeah! Danault's back! And that's very thrilling. It pays to be a goldfish sometimes.

For anyone who ever doubted me when I spoke about what a heavy metal mecca Montreal is, there are ads from the municipal police on the hockey telling folks that safe driving is metal.

Also, I spent this morning redoing the keyboard layout on my new laptop since it came with a number pad which has 3 keys that don't have their own mapping, so I had to change some things to make some other things make sense, and now the question mark is in a different spot.

There hasn't been a whole lot of hockey in this fighting game, but Cole Caufield scored his 50th goal so I'm weeping with joy. It's quite something. They put up the list of the 6 other Habs in history to have 50 goal seasons, and look at that, one of them's the guy the scoring trophy's named for.
