This image shows a picture of a 1970s package of Leggs Panty Hose that came in a large plastic egg. (like 4 times the size of a regular plastic Easter egg. This one shows a drawing of a rabbit on it w/ a pink Mr Sketch Marker (the ones that smell-pink is raspberry smell). These two items are very reminiscent of an early 1970s childhood. The caption at the bottoms says: "Kids today will never know the joy of staying up late to color a special egg for mom."

Flashback to Easter, 1974. My mom got up early and put our Easter baskets on the table, and then went back to bed. Who know the sun would come out for the first time that winter in Anchorage and melt everything into blobs. Ah, childhood.

The photo shows my front porch with a jack-o-lantern, a large bag of cat food, a large bag of dog food and canned pet foods. Behind them on a chair is a bag of potatoes, an acorn squash, and stacked behind that are cans of beans, soup, vegetables, SPAM and tuna.

This is the scariest my porch has EVER looked on Halloween.

Truth is, my neighbor, who works for the US Dept of Geological Surveys, was furloughed six weeks ago-paid at first, then unpaid. I had taken over a bag of cat food and offered it and he was almost gleeful to take it.

Scary times.

I have had the privilege of not only visiting the White House, but I have received White House Honors. I take that honor very seriously and believe that our White House is not just a building, but the very home of America.

What trump is doing should be a crime and the White House must be restored.

Excited for tonight’s Teacher of the Year panel at Oregon State. I dreamed two nights ago that I said something that upset trump and got the school shut down. Hopefully it goes be than that!!

I think he meant to say they won't open the government because of that 218th vote to release the Epstein files. If they close the government, they can't swear in a new Congresswoman. Without her vote, no Epstein files.

Simple as that.

I was also under orders I was not allowed to say any words publicly that they did not approve of in advance. On my flight home from making the above statement, I wrote a new speech which I gave at the big union meeting a day later.

It was a barn burner.

In 2014 I was honored at the White House. Before I left my boss told me if I said I was gay I would be fired.

The White House press asked if I wanted to make a statement.

This was my statement to the press, and a declaration of war with my school district. Spoiler: I won the war.

I have a place in my heart for John Lewis. I have a letter from him that is a cherished possession.

A few years ago Portland State University awarded me an honorary PhD because of my work in social justice. John Lewis (and Bill Clinton) were previous honorees.
