The SCDP recognizes the vital work of public health professionals in protecting communities and strengthening preparedness against emerging infectious diseases. Together, we advance prevention, response, and health equity for all!
✍ A new initiative has kicked off in the DOM: the inaugural Emory Internal Medicine Writers' Workshop, led by Dr. Emily Pinto Taylor and Dr. Kimberly Manning. Supported and funded by an EmWell mini-grant, this full-day writing intensive brought together 8 learners across our residency programs.
Congrats to Luis Nieto, MD, Gastroenterology & Hepatology Fellow, on his recent publication! His research focuses on the intersection between metabolic disease, obesity, and gastrointestinal disorders, with a particular interest in the effects of incretin-based therapies. 🔗 linktr.ee/emorydeptofmed

👋 Meet Jennifer Vazquez, the DOM's new Senior Business Manager. She joins us from Arizona State University, where she served as the Assistant Director of the Center for Evolution and Medicine. Before ASU, she worked here at Emory in several administrative roles, managing business operations.
