It’s my fault. Every time i destroy someone in comments they vaporize into a bunch of yellow pixels like the original Tron movie.
a beautiful pic of planet earth, taken from artemis II by the crew. a little pinprick of venus in the background. on earth, you can see a piece of africa, the perspective is "upside down" from usual.
the pic that the artemis II crew took of earth makes me so proud of our planet. best rock in the solar system. earth slaps

That's awesome. I'm interested to know more about how you reconcile the openendedness of Lexicons with the closed shape of a SQLite schema. What's your strategy in this case?
i jammed this into sqlite which lives separate from the PDS (could be remote or local).
both it and P2PDS i want to port to Dialogdb, both have sharding/lensing needs

I'm particularly interested in @danabra.mov 's recent experiments here. I don't know if it's exactly where we are going, but if it isn't then I would say it's the best map of the territory we have.
There is a missing component (no pun intended) in that you may have the rule to interpret data in a certain way, but you still need the presentation logic to render it (whether on the server or the client). @gozala.io has some opinions about this, but there is a big possibility space.
I've been trying to come up with a spin on "there's an app for that," but for Dialog Rules (which, among other things, enable opportunistic / uncoordinated interop between app domains without the risk of one party clobbering other apps' data www.youtube.com/watch?v=4n-2...).
Wrangling, composing and remixing Lexicons without an AppView deployed in the cloud is also going to be interesting.
I get hot and bothered thinking about a local-first Bsky client with offline write. Even though the audience for that is like.. dozens of people? 😅
One thing that is tricky with ATP is the open-ended nature of Lexicons. SQLite doesn't sync out of the box, but even if it did there would be an impedance mismatch: no fixed schemas!
Getting close to being able to demonstrate the complementarity of #DialogDB and #ATProto.
Bi-directional sync between a general purpose, local-first (private by default) database and any PDS.

Blacksky is one of the most interesting projects on the whole internet, IMO. Both technically and culturally.
Happy TransBot Day of Visibility
Me, someone who probably won't be robbed or killed by the AI industrial complex: "this power structure is inevitable; let's focus on the positive!"
Writing a self-hosted compiler is awesome, because as soon as you want a new feature to make writing the compiler easier, you can just change the language and then use it!
My Zena AST was getting too verbose, so I added sealed and data classes (kind of like tagged unions) to make it more compact.
Thank you to everyone who has been helping curation atmospheric news in the at://news @semble.so collection over the last week while I have had no capacity to do that. 🙏🏻

Heya! I'm a trans girl animator and game developer.
TAMASHIKA is an upcoming trippy flow state shooter by the developer of Lovely Planet, and I did the animation! As well as much of the art. It's out in ten days(April 10th), please check it out!

Yah, that's true.
I'm making plans to update the polyfill I used for WASABI-16 for wasip3 soon. I suspect that polyfilling Wasm GC is the harder of the two.
That's kind of a bummer. But, it doesn't seem like they consider the work to be done.
Also, both Wasm GC and Wasm Components have to propagate to many runtimes, or else I'm not sure it matters that much..
Claude’s not a human and can’t be creative. You’re weird.
Is it Wasmtime? What is lacking in their Wasm GC support?
There's no such thing as open AI models under capitalism.
