I had once suspected that moviegoers being given glossaries at theaters showing David Lynch's DUNE in 1984 was an urban legend, but nope, all evidence suggests it was a real thing. www.openculture.com/2014/08/glos...
On April 21, 1999, sfgate ran an article headlined "Classmates Describe Shooters As Obsessed With Goth World," which tries very hard to imply that the RPG Vampire: The Masquerade led to the Columbine shooting. They quickly removed the article, but it is archived. www.theescapist.com/columbine1.htm

Some pictures I took of Temu Batmobile in September 2024, including a detail of a charming decal in the back window. Again, I know it’s hard to believe the owner has incel energy.
I used to live a few blocks away from the owner of this vehicle, and he was always kind of a dick to me--I realize that's hard to believe, because you'd think a guy who owns something like this would be up on his social graces!--so, I highly approve of the "Temu Batmobile" description.

Ionization will be familiar to fans of the science fiction show, Star Trek. You simply disintegrate matter in one place and reassemble it somewhere else. On Star Trek, it's people who disappear and then reappear elsewhere.
