I love that they put plows on their garbage packers. That’s a true all hands on deck approach.
Sadly, it’s real
Not planned removal. Please report to 311
It amazes me how far we have regressed as a society. From devices & Ai controlling our lives to the stuff in our food to how we treat each other to how design where we live - it just seems like somewhere our train jumped the tracks. Just another piece of evidence www.facebook.com/share/r/1J5C...

They were cheaper so previous city staff preferred them. City Manager Augustus issued a directive to construct all new, permanent ones on concrete for longevity & ada purposes. This is now the standard that DPW & DTM follow. (Repost because of typo)
The whole ‘we aren’t Boston, we don’t have as many people biking’ is pure intellectual dishonesty. Boston didn’t have as many cyclists as they did 13 years ago when they first started to build a network like Worcester is now. Same for Providence, NYC, Montreal, or any other place for that matter.
Re: Pleasant St/122 MassDOT redesign. I’m sick and tired of the two old lines (1) no one bikes in Worcester, let’s not add more bike lanes! (2) Worcester is unique, we can’t make it like Boston! On (1) literally people feel unsafe biking, so maybe this can change that? (2) it’s not trying to be!
Vision Zero’s failure pattern in 26 US Cities: “Motorists are hostile to measures that slow traffic and favor pedestrians. Local leaders give token or tepid support. Spending on pedestrian-friendly improvements is not prioritized”
Hopefully Mass communities can do better.

The alert system is shut down is almost all communities that use them because of a data breach
A tweet from “Adam Mockler @adammockler” reads: “Stephen Miller just went on Fox News and said telling troops to refuse illegal orders is an ‘open act of insurrection.’ He is telling on himself. They are planning to give illegal orders, and they want a military that will follow them blindly.”
This young man has it exactly right.
I don’t even think that will help them
I don’t know him personally, but I’m told he’s a @massdems.bsky.social central MA leader which leaves me to wonder if this is really what our party leaders should be saying about female candidates for office from our own party? With Dems like this, who needs MAGA Republicans? Do better!
Setti was an excellent Mayor in Newton who I proudly voted for and I always hoped that he would re-enter politics and seek higher office. RIP Mr Mayor.
Congratulations to Auburn Town Meeting for approving the last of the required zoning changes to comply with the MBTA Communities Act.
This is the leadership I would have liked to see in Massachusetts instead of a political press conference that encouraged donating more. I’ll donate - but real leadership from a Governor would have been nice. Betting Sonia Chang Diaz would have delivered

Will definitely take some time to get used to it, but a study (albeit small sampling) from nearby Connecticut shows promise for positive effects. Since the study most CT departments have adopted the practice
