I’m also a parent of an autistic kid. It’s particularly chilling that our buddy here laments that autistic folks “will never pay taxes” as if that’s what makes a life valuable. This is a capitalism brain worm (sorry) that needs to be squashed. A person’s value is not tethered to their productivity.

Alcohol is only associated with domestic violence because it lowers inhibitions for men who want to be violent to women. It does not make men want to be violent to women.
