In fairness, that knowledge is from the finest of fine car geeks, @keithwrjones.bsky.social.
A bit late to the party on this one, but a minor Renault 21 follow up: there were six(!) different wheelbases. The 4x4 novels added another two.
I know exactly where that is 😁
It happens.
True story: I went out to buy a (reasonably) sensible second-hand estate car. I came home with a Corvette C4.
Kept it for 10 years 😁
Boom!

I don't want to, but I really need to move the Saab 93 Convertible on. It's not been used in a year(!) so is just going to waste away.
High VED has killed its value, but don't make me scrap it or break it - it's all in good order and a lovely car!
Totally unedited photo, taken on Thursday.
1976 Lotus Esprit
1976 Ford Fiesta
1976 Porsche 924
I am now this old.
I know the feeling only too well. Currently half-heartedly trying to move on a Saab 93 Convertible.
Mine was an auto, and kickdown created more noise but no more performance! Expectations were directly proportional to the price tag, and I'd come from a Nissan 200SX...
But now? It's tempting... but I'm trying to get out of one impractical car already.
One of the most disappointing cars I've ever owned, but then it was new, overpriced and underpowered.
25 years later? I'd love to have one again!
That's very kind of you, although the Flexis/Renault news I wrote in the back of a Mercedes on the M1 and M25 on my way to Heathrow is probably not my best work!
Always happy to answer any questions for you, though.
I've been travelling this week (currently on my way home!) so I may not have done the most in-depth coverage on the current changes that I've ever done!
You called?
The next-gen Trafic (with Phil for scale) that we'll finally see properly later this year is the first Flexis product. The skateboard chassis then underpins the Estafette and Goelette, which are fundamentally just variants of the Trafic.
Hopefully there'll be an update soon. Excited for the new F1 season...
Bloody hell John!
Glad they've found the issue, and really pleased it's a simple fix. Amazing what can be done.
It's also not the image above, but new design work for Professional Van and Professional Pickup.
I've created a new logo (I'll politely call it a concept) in Pixlr (stop laughing), but as I have little artistic talent and I'm colour blind, I need somebody to take my work and create something viable.
Is anybody able to help me out, using the two-out-of-three rule?

What an epic game. I lost so many d̶a̶y̶s̶ years playing that.
And the manual was, oddly, really helpful for this 13/14-year-old in understanding a bit more about what was going on in the Gulf War.
It's been a long time since I've been in China (although I'll be back soon), but I remember using the Maglev in Shanghai to get to the airport.
It actually took longer than the alternatives, as the station is (was?) in a daft part of the city, but it was worth it...
It's not just cars and vans, you know.
Sometimes I do proper* consumer journalism about other things.

* There was nothing proper about this!

Wait, what?! What have I done now?
I mean, it probably was me doing / not doing something, but still...
But my anecdotal experience disproves all the data!
(In fairness, my anecdotal experience is pretty good, but I do have a home charger...)
Car brochures and spec sheets that aren't available to download as a PDF are high on my list worst things in the world.
Looking at one today that's awful to use, and not accessible in any way. Truly dreadful.
I'm looking at you, Vauxhall.
I've been invited to share my views on a podcast.
I might pass on it, though, as I did when L'Oréal invited* me to talk about how a strong haircare regimen is the perfect expression of sustainable beauty.
* They didn't. Just to be clear.
He was very happy about it!
No photo, as I was too busy staring, but G-BEDF, or Sally B, the only remaining airworthy B-17 Flying Fortress in Europe, has just flown directly over my house on its way from RAF Syerston. I guess it's heading to Duxford...
Cool.
As a freelancer, it pains me to threaten legal proceedings against a client for unpaid bills.
To do it twice in three months to the same client is oddly satisfying.
Unsurprisingly, I won't be working for them again.
(Also, I *absolutely will* follow through on the threat!)
Opened an old box of toy cars for the boys to pay with, and found this mint Volvo 760.
Love the model and colour, but it's the number plate that makes it!
