Ultimately and the most important thing is that we are on the same side of this issue. Things are truly fucked, and it requires us all to act in intentional ways within our means.

I have no issue with folks who choose to use their online profiles to spread the word. But the post I initially responded to seemed (to me) to suggest that everyone who isn't posting should be. I just don't think that is a realistic expectation to have in certain spaces.

I'm definitely not suggesting anyone should be compartmentalizing themselves at a time like this. But I also know as a sufferer of anxiety, that it's okay to carve out a space for other aspects of our lives.

Many people are taking meaningful offline action in their communities, where it matters more. Everyone uses their platform differently, and compelled speech is as bad as censorship. Some use their profiles as a temporary respite from constant bad news, often necessary for one's mental health.
