Yup! Snip off an 8 inch piece of the vine with several leaves attached. Place in water but make sure to remove any leaves that would be under water. Should root quickly. Need to harden it off and move outside when risk of frost has passed.
It took 4 weeks but I finally have lots of slips sprouting on my sweet potatoes! Once they’re 6 inches long I’ll snap them off and root them in water. They’ll go in the garden when the risk of frost has passed. How I did It here: youtube.com/shorts/KdCIW...

Lots of insulating cover for the plants! 🙃 My sis sent me this pic from her hike in Newfoundland yesterday. So much snow this winter there as well.

Greenhouse in winter
How long until spring?! 🙃 And while it’s pretty covered in snow, I’ve started tidying up the inside and getting it ready for planting. Even though I’m in a northern area we’re almost at 10 hours of daily light. Time to plant cold hardy crops. 🌱
Also a wonderful green to grow in pots 😊

Tomatillo harvest
Tomatillos are a fun and easy vegetable to grow in the summer veggie garden. Be sure to add at least two plants to ensure good cross pollination. I love the pretty yellow blooms which attract so many bees! Have you grown them?
