The book White American Youth is an important but uncomfortable read IMHO. Chicago, but not dissimilar I don’t think. That book makes it sound like these people are, at their core, simply hateful losers looking to blame their claimed, exaggerated problems on some “other” and not themselves.

This is a past-tense occurrence as far as I’m concerned.

It should probably be a bigger story that the people who control the government overall at this point have an ideology that is essentially Neo-Nazism (and we all know a lot of them have their stashes of Klan and Swastika-laden garb).
