Having been such a long-term user of social networks, I'm surprised I've never had to make a post like this before. Someone has hacked my OG Instagram account @neb, and I need to find someone inside of Instagram to help me get it back again, which sadly seems to be the only successful way to regain
Foundation for Public Code initiated the Standard for Public Code as guidance for public organizations toward collaborating in open software procurement & stewardship together. Now we are focused on generating a draft of the Standard for Public Product Organizations publiccode.net/public-produ...
I just spoke about public products as a viable way to create sustainable open shared digital public infrastructure at the European Open Source Policy Summit in Brussels. Open networks of collaboration between pro-public-service US states and EU states could be new sites of transatlantic alignment.
We need a network of states that still believe in the value of public infrastructure and organizations which can collaborate on supporting an ecosystem of open public products, through orchestration of procurement to developers through mechanisms akin to US state-level versions of @sovereign.tech
That would be great.
This year, as part of my role at Foundation for Public Code, I am helping to build a Public Product Organization publiccode.net/public-produ... called SpaceCraft, a platform for spatial computing as public infrastructure [more on this soon]. As such, I'll be at both CES and FOSDEM. Ping to converge!
Just back to Amsterdam from Venice, where I participated in Berggruen Planetary Summit and met with folks at Fundazione Biennale about a new Public Code project. Most importantly though, I took my mom back to Italy for her first visit since 1968! Next week, we both travel back to LA for the season
I realized I have a better neb reference to point at!
you know I have lost the ability to care about the proliferation of networks when I didn't do the work to get here fast enough and claim my rightful @neb.bsky.social
