Interestingly enough, the early Yugioh video games actually came out before the Konami card game and like you mentioned there really is a difference because things like phase switching and trap card activation happen more automatically in Dark Duel Stories.

I’m not an in-depth reviewer or film critic or anything, so there’s not much I can offer there in terms of making my review interesting, but maybe you’ll get something out of it nonetheless.

B-: It was mid, but had its moments. I liked the final space battle a lot, and Obi Wan is my favorite character. Or maybe the droids, they’re also great. If I watched this as a teenager in the 70s I’d probably think it was the best movie ever too lol. Music was good, and I enjoyed seeing all the spaceships. There wasn’t much more than that though as most of the characters/story didn’t interest me too much, and some parts of the film were kinda boring.

B- is my equivalent of 6/10. For context, I watched this movie about two years ago (so not as a teenager nor in the 70s). I wrote this shortly after watching it and I keep meaning to post it to Letterbox’d but haven’t gotten around to it / keep forgetting to do so.
