A thought of "separating the art from the artist":

It's a way to approach the work as an audience member, taking it entirely on its own terms. Just the art, regardless of what the artist might be like. It's not about money.

If you buy it and the artist gets paid, you haven't separated shit.

I don't know when it'll be out but someday soon I'll be releasing a video on these incredible black-led pieces of art and how they intersect, how they contribute to the bigger picture, and what they tell us about we should be moving in the future...

It feels that way to me a good bit of the time (even moreso for me after living Black in a very rural, mostly White county for the past 23 years). Taking on hiphop stylings and looking clownish about it without realizing is another example.
