Weekly tradition time: ending the week with a little shared joy.

Tell me something good.

What good thing happened in your life this week?

Caught a beautiful sunrise or got a week of good sleep, both work. Just something good.

Wow! That is great! I hope the road ahead brings him nothing but happiness and success.

Wow! I want to hear more about this… Can we connect directly by chance? If you’re up for chatting for a few mins, hit me up with a message. I’d like to…

This made me break into such a smile. As a parent, there is a little better than seeing that you are raising a good person.

I can’t tell you how much this means to me. It is the reason why I write at all. Thank you.

And if you’re up for reading more replies, you can also find the same post on my feeds on Twitter, Threads, Instagram, and Facebook.

I think I am @therealhoarse in all of those places.

Lastly, check your message box a bit later on today. You’ll find one from me.

Hey there… I am so sorry to hear what you are going through. I am sending you warm, healing thoughts.

I’m glad the One Good Thing post replies bring comfort. They do the same for me.

I’m so sorry I missed last weekend.

Check my feed though. Just look for the yellow daffodil. 😊

That is my favorite book. I would cry.

Share something happy with me. Something that made you feel good or lifted you up recently.

It could be seeing a bluebird or flying off to a dream trip.

It isn’t the magnitude. It’s the joy.

Just something joyful no matter how small… because joy is never small.

On Friday, a person who is going through Stage IV breast cancer sent me a message saying that they are trying to stay positive and reading people’s ’one good things’ helps.

I didn’t see their message until today.

I’d like to give them One Good Thing today.

All I need is your joy.

I need your joy.

Almost every weekend for the last 10 years, I have put up a post on social media where I ask people to share one good thing that happened in their life that week.

I missed a lot of weeks this past year while going through things of my own - and I missed this past weekend.

The Box on My Dresser In September of 2024, I received a message on Instagram.

Whether one-time or via a subscription, a few bucks would make such a difference now more than ever.

Support options are at the bottom of the story.

If you’ve ever lost someone, this story might be for you…

The story stuck with me, so I wrote about it.

You can find the it via the link in the next post.

Separately, I’m struggling mightily to afford writing at the moment. Your support would mean the world right now.

The very last thing I said to someone I loved dearly as they lay unconscious before passing away was: “Just let us know you’re out there somehow.”

And then she did.

A year and a half ago, someone shared a story with me about how they too found connection with someone they lost.

Saw a bluebird or found your wings, both work. Just something good.

While that has been my main food group, apparently it’s good to supplement it with other things. Who knew?

As a fellow neurospicy, I have a question for you…

Why is it that we can go off and learn recreational German because we heard somebody say ‘gesundheit’ but we never use that power to learn about stuff like why you should eat food on a regular basis?

Hey, listen… I know how outlandish this sounds - the idea that food is like some magic energy source or something.

Maybe it is just a placebo effect or something, but I could totally swear that eating food items is affecting my energy level.

Better, worse, or just different?

In my defense, Panera switched up the order of the iced coffee and the iced tea urns.

I’ll just get up in the morning and consume food items and then just go on with my day like it’s totally normal…

And then a few hours later, I’ll consume other food items… and then I do that again in the evening.

It totally gives you like energy or something. It’s wild.

I’m not big on so-called ‘life hacks’ but I stumbled upon one that is just crazy effective.

Guys, as it turns out, if you eat food, you feel WAY better than when you don’t eat food.

I’ve been trying this out for the last few weeks and it totally works…

Jeez, I think the Wendy’s sign guy might be going through some things.

Ya ever mix two flavors together by accident and then taste ilthe combo and be like “wow, that’s actually pretty good!”

Yesterday, when I accidentally mixed iced coffee and lemonade was not one of those times.

Insane finish to the UConn Duke game.

Wowwwww.

That is beautiful… Although I imagine it is also a lot.

So, if I had followed your arrogant and profoundly stupid commentary, that would have *detracted from the actual subject*.

It would’ve shifted the focus toward the actual content of the discussion which is neither necessary nor helpful.

You should probably be less impressed with your own opinion.
